Antelope Island, where the bison roam and the Wasatch flanks the landscape
I'm self-employed. Instead of paying for an office space, I hop in between wi-fi location and sometimes just stay at home. Now that it's spring, maybe we can all crawl out of our home offices and work outside.
Love Your Mother. She Listens to You Complain
Happy Mother's Day!
I'm a big fan of my mom. Might be a weird thing to say. She's super tough, smart, and relentlessly positive, which I am not. I can't tell you how many times she's talked me out of a bad mood.
Meditation to running water. Hope you don't have to pee.

Mill Creek Canyon
Today was my first time touring Teton Pass. My buddy and I went up Coal Creek on the pass' north side. We were scoping out Mt Taylor, but I wasn't feeling it. So, we continued on to ride a comfortably steep bowl with a really bermy, creekside runout.
The sights of Mt. Bachelor
The Wasatch is shedding earlier than usual. See rollerballs below sagging cornices. I stayed on a low-angle, south-facing area in Big Cottonwood Canyon called USA Bowl. Pretty well-known spot. My buddy and I went up to the ridgeline to scope out the Monitors, which likely stayed bulletproof per most of the north to northeast-facing aspects. I am hoping the avy danger cycles through soon, and we can enjoy a great corn season.

Solitude Mountain Resort has a photo of me ripping pow on their Instagram. Super-stoked and grateful!
The past few weeks have been unusually warm. The Wasatch has held snow, but it feels more like springtime than mid-February. I used the lack of snow, and subsequent lack of motivation to ride, to take care of some much-needed business. One of the shots above is from a photo shoot for my wax sponsor, Dominator Wax. Another is part of a gear test for a goggle company. The top corner photo is Pete Carney, designer and molder of Verts, the climbing snowshoe. I am in the middle of changing up my quiver. I have been splitting on a Venture Euphoria, Sparks After Burner, and Voile set-up for two years. It's ideal for powder conditions, but not what I need for our spring-like snowpack in the Wasatch. Pete brought me some Verts so I could hike chutes and use my solid. Pretty excited!
