This OC of mine is from Genshin. He is a Fae, from Nodkrai/Snezhnaya! I really like a more sinister, trickster, fairy. I also just wanted to draw my guy looking all spooky and eerie. Is that a crime? I also drew a much more normal look for him but idk if I'm that happy with how his clothes turned out. Sigh

This is technically a redraw from something I drew a year ago. Woahh
(This is the old piece. Back before Gold even had a canon design.. we are gonna ignore that I still haven't gotten much better at drawing hands. I don't like them, they are hard. Boo)
I just finished watching the Utena Movie again (IN THEATERS) and it's DELTARUNE tomorrow! So here are some of my thoughts about similarities in the two.
There is one character in Deltarune that almost perfectly mirrors Anthys character and I NEVER see people make the comparison!!! And that character is Ralsei.
Ralsei, a character so familiar to Kris & Susie, yet unknown...
(Especially with all the themes about childhood, and unreliable memory. In both medias!)
Utena tells Anthy something along the lines of "do you think we've met before" and YOU the player get that exact feeling when meeting Ralsei. Because their name is just Asriel's scrambled, but Ralsei isn't Kris's brother.
Not only do Ralsei and Anthy share very similar glasses, but personality.
Ralsei and Anthy both have moments were they are sweet, or silly, comforting to the audience and to other characters. But their actions are not always their own will...
Ralsei knows the prophecy and their own fate, Ralsei is set to be the Heros guide, to be a stepping stone towards the end goal of the prophecy. Anthy knows her fate, she knows beyond the curtain. Anthy is the bride, the stepping stone to the power of Dios and revolution. They both didn't ask to be put in this position and they are clearly suffering from it.
Both are incredibly lonely, they aren't supposed to be making friends. They are just tools. Yet Susie, and if the player decides, Kris, are Ralseis friends. Just like how Utena is Anthys friend and wishes for Anthy to find more friends.
It's not a perfect comparison but I also think Susie could be like Utena. Not caring about the system, and being one of the only people who actually cares about what Ralsei wants. I mean when Susie learns the truth of the prophecy, she swears to be by Ralseis side during it all. And she swears that she won't let whatever 'it' is come to pass.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toby Fox was an Utena fan, RGU is obscure yes, but also very influential media. And Toby LOVES weird Japanese media. Toby seems like the type of nerd to like Utena...
Anyways this was just a long rant about media I really enjoy... I hope it makes sense haha

I would like to add to this that chapter 5 only furthers my feelings about Ralsei and Anthy.
Spoilers ahead!!
The dialog option after Ralsei talks about wanting to try new drinks where you can literally tell Ralsei "You like Tea", limiting Ralseis freedom.
All the trans fem connections to Ralsei, Ralsei likes getting called a Princess throughout the chapter, likes wearing dresses, likes the BLUE AND PINK colored item and chooses it specifically.
Meanwhile Ralsei is upset and jealous towards Flowery who is essentially their parallel, but with more freedom. Unlimited states, uncaring for the rules. Unlike Ralsei who feels bound by fate.
I mean Ralsei wants to be a princess but, design wise with their hat, is a witch.
Anthy can never be a princess because she is a witch. HELLO.

Blue and Yellow. I liked them aaa lot.
I just finished Deltarune Chapter 5 and nothing prepared me for how obsessed I'd be... Light spoilers ahead!! I have new favorite characters <333
NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE MY LOVE FORE THEM!! blue and yellow will be haunting me for all eternity, I ADORE seeing feminine men in media, wearing dresses, presenting very feminine!! I am a trans man who loves dresses and fem things so it makes my heart just jump with joy! And I love blue and yellows adorable relationship, whenever they were on screen I was giddy!
I NEED art of them so badd and I pray to God artists won't whitewash my guy, Blue. Omg the new chapter is SO GOOD. IM SOBBINGGG

I'm going to see the Utena Movie in theaters with friends tomorrow!!! 2 of them have seen the whole show but not the movie, and 1 of my friends has only seen a few episodes. I've seen the movie multiple times BUT ON THE BIG SCREEN???!!! I'm so incredibly excited!
