i don’t actually have anything against jamie on his own - i just hate the way some parts of the fandom have fixated on him at the expense of much more interesting and relevant female characters and i’m bitter about it
im still confused. if people like jamie it means they’ve watched the show for more than just jamie in the first place wouldn’t it? so just because they like jamie doesn’t mean they don’t care about the other characters i think? i’m a lesbian btw so im still confused about your original statement, sorry!

it’s just, directed at that weird part of the fandom in general, there’s nothing inherently wrong with jamie, but like, why elevate a minor male character over all the female characters with vastly more depth and development
for your original point: i dont see it as hating women/lesbians at all just because some people like a male character who hasn’t done anything lesbophobic or been rude to girls at all. maybe the people who like him just connect to him more or think hes really cute? its kind of liking a random background character from any show and having them as your favorite character. its not putting the main cast aside, its just fixating on a side character and having a little fun since there isnt much to go off of
