What is the point of this account?
I personally find stalking either specific ship tags or even the main fandom tags themselves tedious and end up missing fics releasing despite my best efforts, so I thought this account would help with that and anyone else who deals with that :)

Why can't the RSS Feed catch Updates or Locked fics?
Sadly due to how Ao3's specific RSS Feed works and with most free programs that feed the system onto tumblr, It'd take me a long minute to figure out and it's something I just don't personally have the time to figure, especially as this account is ran solely by me. I will allow Authors who would like their work uploaded onto this account to either send a private message or an ask and I'll be happy to post your work
On a similar note, this is also why I'm unable to directly filter tags with the way the system works, so while I will try to check in every few days and survey the account, I'll appericate any help to remove fics with questionable tags and content as well as work people don't want on here
Does this Blog post (Insert Ship Here) or (Insert Character Here)?
Yes, regardless of character bias, ship bias whatever, you will find on this page, even including x Ocs or Readers. Each will be properly tagged (even if it takes me a minute) and be archived into my tagging navigation/system. Original Characters as a tag will not be apart of it as well, yeah. I will tag other characters like John Lennon (If Crossovers pass through the system which I believe they can) but they will not be listed on the navigation page to keep it Monkees focused
Does this Blog do Fic Recs?
Maybe?? Idk, I personally fear I can't give good fanfic recs outside of a handful for select ships BUT I am open and willing to share fanfic recs you guys can send through asks (or Submissions, if you guys would prefer to do it on submissions idk) so don't be scared to, I'm happy to share your fanfic recs!
How did you make your Ao3 Feed?
I personally used This Tutorial by @magess which is a Zapier tutorial which is what I personally use for my feed. I've heard good things with Make and a good chunk of people still use IFTTT, I've even heard it's possible to fliter with this rss editor but I'm not entirely sure how reliable it is in 2025, I'll likely give it a shot one day! The main drawback to Zapier is that it can only post 100 times a month but that is not really a worry for us as our fandom is small.
All this to say if you want to make a Ao3 feed for your favorite Monkees ship or Character, I'd say go for it! I certainly don't own the idea in any way shape or form so again please, feel free! I don't own the idea and would love to see it!
