If you don’t have a strong sunglasses game… What do you have? Honestly
Titanic’s Grand Staircase in all its glory!
These are the uppermost levels of the staircase, topped by a magnificent wrought iron dome. The bronze cherub watches over the area, with the clock above keeping the ship’s time. This staircase was perhaps the centerpiece of First Class, as well as one of the centerpieces of Titanic: Honor and Glory. An immense amount of care went into recreating every detail of the staircase, some of which you won’t see even in this image!

After many hours of hard work, several sleepless nights, and lots of caffeine, we can now present our real-time animation of the sinking of the Titanic!
This animation is intended to go along with our real-time sinking podcast, to be held tonight, April 14th, at approximately 10PM Eastern Daylight Time. It will be hosted by Tom, Matt, and Kyle, and a special guest if they decide to join us. We will cover events of the sinking in real time, and we’ll have our listeners play the video along with us so we all have a visual of the sinking’s progression. Please note that the video is still processing and available only in 360p at the moment. Hopefully, by the time of the podcast, it will be available in up to 720p.
This animation was created as accurately as we could get it in the time we had. It shows the ship’s general sinking progress, as well as lifeboat launches, rockets firing, and the Californian on the horizon. You’ll see funnels falling and the ship breaking up in the final moments, and the final positions of the lifeboats at 2:20AM. This is NOT a sped-up animation or a short animation slowed to be real-time. This is a fully real-time recreation of the sinking, from just before the collision to just after the sinking. 2 hours and 41 minutes.
Of course the animation isn’t perfect. Accuracy-wise, we’ve already spotted a few things to be fixed later. Animation-wise, it lacks some finer details, like wires or boat falls, better water and effects, and the camera might be bumpy in some places. It’s not easy animating and rendering nearly three hours of events on short notice!

And remember, 10PM EDT is when we begin our podcast! Start loading the video a little early, keeping it paused on 0:00 (or skim it beforehand if you prefer) and perhaps join us in the Mixlr chat room in the minutes leading up to the podcast. You’ll find our podcast and chat room here:

Original demo of Beat It created by Jackson, using only his voice for all the parts.
As Jackson couldn’t fluently play any instruments, he would sing and beatbox out how he wanted his songs to sound by himself on tape, layering the vocals, harmonies and rhythm before having instrumentalists come in to complete the songs.
One of his engineers Robmix on how Jackson worked: “One morning MJ came in with a new song he had written overnight. We called in a guitar player, and Michael sang every note of every chord to him. “here’s the first chord first note, second note, third note. Here’s the second chord first note, second note, third note”, etc., etc. We then witnessed him giving the most heartfelt and profound vocal performance, live in the control room through an SM57. He would sing us an entire string arrangement, every part. Steve Porcaro once told me he witnessed MJ doing that with the string section in the room. Had it all in his head, harmony and everything. Not just little eight bar loop ideas. he would actually sing the entire arrangement into a micro-cassette recorder complete with stops and fills.”
Reasons why I laugh when people say he wasn’t a real musician.
Amazing
This is important
Beautiful.
Phenomenal!!
I’ve heard this before, but every time I hear it, my mind is blown all over again, And I’m reminded of how dark a place the world is now that he’s gone.
michael jackson- beat it (demo)
MJ is the GOAT
I’m speechless, this is the true musician and artist, not what we have today.
Michael had talent, Michael was a pioneer, Michael was a genius.
MJ does not approve
