"Another birthday spent at the bar. No surprise there."
Cloud chuckled as he kept up with the young woman, saying as he did, “Well, It would help to know where to go home after I was drunk…not that it would matter anyway,” and Cloud shoved his hands into his pocket as he made his way towards the bar with her. Cloud took a deep breath as he enjoyed the nice cool air, grinning as he did.
When Tifa had asked the young man about himself, Cloud paused for a moment. There was so much about his life, plenty of which he shouldn’t tell her. Though this wasn’t the first time he had been asked about his life, and already had a standard answer for her.
“Well, I was born in Nibelheim, never knew my father, was raised by my mother. I love to draw, paint, sculpt, I spent most of my time drawing at museums, I made some pretty good drawings if I do say so myself,” Cloud stuck his tongue out at the young woman as he tried to think of other things to tell her, snapping his fingers when he had thought of some other things with a small smirk on his face.
“I enjoy drinking, poker, strawberry chocolate and the guitar, and I hate awkward silence, power-hungry people and heights…yeah, me and heights are never a good thing,” Cloud smirked as he looked around. They had reached the outskirts of the university, which mean’t they would be at the bar soon.
“Now, tell me about yourself Tifa?”
Tifa brought a hand to the strap of her bag, gently clasping it as the two walked on. She had no problem leading the way, and she definitely had no problem helping out a new friend. The girl nodded along while Cloud spoke, smiling all the while.
“I would hope that you don’t get too drunk.” She chuckled, “Though, if you did, I think I could help you back to campus.” A drunken person in the bar was nothing new to her, but after they walked out the door, they were no longer her problem. Still, she wouldn’t let that be the case with a friend - especially not one so new to campus.
Tifa listened to Cloud talk about his life. He didn’t seem like the type to enjoy art so much, but it was a nice fact to know. “You like art? I think we have some museums around here. I’ll have to show you sometime.” She grinned.
When the question of her past was brought up, she gently nodded and thought for a moment. Her life was pretty dull, actually. “Well, I grew up in a pretty small town. I spent most of my time at my Dad’s bar, no surprise there, right?” She joked, “The rest of the time I was out with little groups of friends. I think in middle school I met Aerith. She’s my roommate. We’re pretty close thanks to half growing up together.”
Tifa brought her free hand to her mouth, thinking. “I enjoy work, even if I don’t seem like it. Afterall,” She sighed, “I spend most of my time there. Though, on the off chance I get some downtime, I kickbox. I’d like to take up baking as a hobby though.”
"Whoops, looks like I forgot some assignments..."
Cloud shook his head as he kept his hands in his pocket, saying as he did, “Not till tomorrow, though if there is anywhere grand you wanna show me i wouldn’t say no to that,” Cloud placed his hands from his pocket over his head as he stretched, looking around at the quite area, where hopefully they would find something interesting to look instead of buildings and classes.
"Oh, lucky you." Tifa giggled, commenting on Cloud's first day being a free one. Though, she was stumped as for a place to show her new friend. There wasn't anything too exciting around campus but off campus...
Her eyes lit up as she spun around to turn to Cloud. The answer to where they could go was so obvious she smiled at her own silliness. "I don't know why I didn't think of this before. Why don't I show you the way to the bar? It's just off campus, but I wouldn't want you to get lost on the way there. Especially if you're new here."
With that, the girl turned back around and gestured to Cloud for him to follow her. "So, Cloud, tell me a bit about yourself."
Cloud smirked as he leaned against one of the walls. It would be interesting to meet new people. From what he could see, there looked like there was plenty of students who looked like they were enjoying themselves, and would be fun to hang around, though it had been a while since Cloud had stood upon a bar table or any table for that matter and made a complete arse of himself, in order to create happiness throughout his friends.
Smirking, the man said, “I might take you up on that offer, even if i might end up hundreds of dollars in debt,” he stuck his tongue out and chuckled.
"Well, it's always nice to see someone in the bar that I know." She smiled, glancing at people as they walked by. The campus was pretty quiet, and most of the students had disappeared into lecture halls and classrooms.
"Do you have any classes to get to?" Tifa asked, worried she was keeping him from something else. For all she knew, she was being a bother. "Or do you want me so show you anything in particular?"
Cloud stopped as he smirked at the young woman, a glint in his eye as he said, "You work at a bar?" And suddenly thoughts of cheep alcohol shot thought the you mans mind. He looked up at the young girl as he tried to compose himself.
"So do you enjoy working there?"
"It's alright. I guess I can't complain too much since I'm so used to it." Tifa thought back to all the time she had spent in a bar. They seemed so dark and dingy, but to her it was almost like a second home. It was where she was whenever there was no studying to be done or classes to attend.
"You know, you should come in some time. Maybe you'd meet some more people." She smiled, hoping she would be able to see a friendly face the next time she worked.
