I often use shipping as a vehicle to understand my OCs better, and their desires as it pertains to interpersonal relationships [as is true for Stacy and his relationship with Madam and Mon Ami], and it's always interesting to think about. I'm really taken by the implications of what that means. I feel that as it comes to pairing Stace with Madam and Mon Ami, it's very fun to frame it in a way which is not true to Madam and Mon Ami's own relationship. I love drawing Stacy being very intimate with them in a way which is true to how I draw Madam and Ami together. I often feel like, while Madam and Ami are a very youthful, playful, and sexually charged couple, they aren't so skin-piercingly intimate. Very fun-loving and lax, because they are stupid and cute young love. But I enjoy Stacy's intrusion on that, and how much more intimate and charged her entanglement with Mon Ami and Madam is.

What I love about Stacy is his inherent perversion of what constitutes love, and how that reflects in how he engages with Madam and Ami. He loves them in an obsessive, violent way, typical of being their stalker but also because he is a murderer. Yet his love is so soft compared to the love Madam and Ami display for each other.

I think what endears me the most about Stacy and her human design in particular is that she gives a sort of "haunting beauty" vibe. While attractiveness is subjective, Stacy is objectively the most beautiful of the four main Strangers, which often leads to people flirting with her often.

The point of the Strangers, aside from exploring different art styles for me have always been that they aren't meant to be particularly interesting and are meant to be very un-assuming people who lead uninteresting lives. Stacy, however, doesn't much abide by this as she is the only one who has an active life of hunting and stalking those she is obsessed with. I think it has always been my favorite thing that this deviation in social normality is marked by some degree of "pretty-privilege." She is the least normal of them, through-and-through, even as it pertains to physical attributes.
