New year new me, a mended coat a son lost a new Victoria is born.

The new year has been rather healing for Victoria all things considered. Over the winter she lost a son with it came a time of inner reflection and outward change. Victoria over time has come to realize she’s put herself metaphorically into a box of what others find acceptable and comfortable, she’s spent her whole life so focused on what others think that she lost herself in the process. She’s gotten a new job in admin which means finding proper office clothing once again.

She’s trying to find herself again while being unapologetically herself, part of that for her involved returning to wearing the coat she nearly died in the blood stains stand as a reminder to herself of how close she came in contact with death. In a way it brings her comfort a trophy of overcoming adversity (although I doubt her coworkers agree)

New style new Victoria,

Victoria by this point has survived close to 8 months in this new hellish world and not without it trying rather hard in fact to take her out. At this point Victoria has had two brushes with death, once alone in a mall bleeding from a gash in her shoulder close to her neck, and the second one which left physical and mental scars for life. Victoria nearly died from a mauling while most of her coworkers simply watched. She narrowly survived and only by a miracle kept the use of her left hand following extensive surgery. Despite that the event left her radically changed anxious and terrified, it was one thing to know you were in constant danger it was another to know you were in danger and had no one to save you…

Victoria eventually quit her job and moved west past West Point into a niche little farm area with her partner Hudson. That is where we find this version of Victoria, turns out living with a military man 24/7 really does alter the way you dress, as looking professional became a secondary goal to having practical gear Victoria finally looked the part of a hardened survivor.

Authors note: it really is hard to over exaggerate the sheer level of unlucky Victoria has been this season, almost every major injury she’s had has been some bad luck or janky PZ moment I love all of it it’s shaped her quite interestingly. By this point in the season I believe she’s had 2 minor surgeries one major and a plethora of stitches we at some point made a 0 days since last incident calendar for her it’s been quite the ride.

Another piece with my darling Vic featuring her (eventual) husband Hudson. At this point in time however they were just barely beginning to date having bonded over Victoria’s near death just 2 months prior. In this scene we get to watch Hudson attempt to hold Victoria back as a rift into reality opened right in front of them the same thing that nearly took her life months earlier was calling to her like a siren.

Got dragged back into zomboid sometime last year on a neat space called Wasteland RP. While I can’t say this current season is my favorite Victoria Graham (this gal right here) has definitely stolen a place in my heart. Over the last year in game she has changed radically from the eerie and harmless forensic pathologist working for the government seen above to the mad-doctor that most know and love.

I really can’t praise Wastelands RP community enough for the rewarding and character altering rp that I’ve experienced day in and day out there. Folks are so passionate about their work at WL and it really shows.

At the beginning of the season Vic was rather closed off and some what unnerving to the people she worked with she had no real friends to speak of and was desperately over worked as the only medical personnel to an entire government staff and calling her medically trained was really stretching it.

Kinda neglected this blog recently due to a big move…but I’m back! With plenty of art to go around. I’ve been active once again in the Project Zomboid rp scene and have plenty of art from it as a result so stay tuned!

I just think "data center water usage should be federally regulated," while less catchy and less emotionally charged, is a stronger political stance than "fuck AI." Targets the systemic flaw rather than a product, you know?

AGREE But let's take it farther:

Data centres shouldn't be allowed in areas that experience drought or are Koppen classification B category (arid and semi-arid).

They should have federally regulated water usage and be required to have heat and exhaust treatment ON SITE

They should have daily penalties for failing to meet zero emissions targets scaled to their profit margin (i.e. a percentage rather than a set amount) THAT ARE ACTUALLY ENFORCED.

NO DEFERRED PROSECUTION AGREEMENTS. EVER.

They must show provenance for EVERY piece of art and writing in their data sets, and show that they have made contracts to use EVERY SINGLE ONE before they are allowed to use them. Hold them to the same standards as every other form of media.

They must inform the end-user about data privacy and that chatbots are not a substitute for therapy, research, programming, work, school, and are not to be used for anything but novelty.

All of this would severely hobble them and expose how much of a turkey GenAI actually is. I doubt they can make money off it without theft and lies. It's a very expensive toy.

One of the first pieces I did for a PZ server that gave birth to a now year worth of co-world building

Who would guess brandts would go mad just a few months later and turn on the duo completely.

In truth Brandt depended more on Echo and Victor then they did on him. It caused cracks in their friendships from the start. Ultimately though it would be brandt’s constantly evolving lies and lack of care for security that would drive the wedge between him and echo, And where echo’s eyes casted doubt so did victors.

Brandts betrayal would leave a nasty scar on all the remaining ghost in the faction. They never fully opened there doors to outsiders again after that.
