Happy Sunday my Ghouls and Goblins
What is a girl that has zero editing skills, but lots to say supposed to do in a day and age of TikTok influencers? While I don’t want brand deals and “influencer houses” I do want a space to relate. A place to belong. A place to slow down and realize that as lonely as the writing process is, it’s quite familiar to more people than you realize.
It’s also hard to find a place to belong when I have the bubbly exterior of a Barbie doll and the twisted interiority of Wednesday Addams.
I’ll keep it as real as I can. I’ve already been through the querying trenches with my first book to end up getting zero offers, currently have outstanding queries on my second novel, and am attempting to keep my sanity while completing my final semester of college and awaiting responses to MFA programs. Just like me, you’re not alone.
Now that I’ve introduced my shortfalls, let’s start to focus on success, which is what I hope to find throughout my time on this platform.
And, ofc, if you’d like a chilling story to keep you up tonight while coddled in a plethora of warm blankets to combat the wrath of winter… stream my story “The Puppeteer” on Thirteen podcast!
