The @womenspropertynetwork Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony was a world-class glamourous event. The fashion looked like it came straight off a catwalk in Milan / London / Paris. The cuisine was Michelin Star quality. The MC for the evening, Kura Chihota, had the guests doubling over with laughter. Huge thanks to ACSA and all the other sponsors making this superb event possible. Congratulations to all the Finalists - you were already winners even before the Ceremony began. Best of luck to the Category Winners - wishing you blue skies and green lights ahead. Meeting Leslie Richards-Yellen in person ! She is the Immediate Past President of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) in the United States. Leslie is an incredible leader in law firm diversity strategy, with a wealth of knowledge in how to promote a culture where people bring their whole-self to the office, have the tools to maximize their strengths, and explore all of their possibilities for achievement. Richards-Yellen has also worked on the planning committees for the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP). Currently, she is the President of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, a member of the Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago, Inc., serves on the Advisory Board for the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession, is chair of the diversity committee for the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, and is a member at large of the Cornell Black Lawyer Alumni Network.
