"I know what you have done, Yuri. I know what you have told them. My friend. My ally. My betrayer. What happens here today, will change the world forever. Nothing can stop this. Not even you.” — Vladimir Makarov
The sound of the gunshot pulls a gasp from her mouth, and Olivia jumps where she sits, knowing that this man is not fooling around.
But the thought of letting Sentinel down, of having to look Kingpin in the eyes and admit that she divulged her knowledge of Sentinel’s inner workings and then deal with the consequences. She didn’t know what those consequences would be. She didn’t want to find out.
Even as the man’s gun presses into her stomach, even as she gasps for breath, even as the panic starts to seep in like a bad drug, her mind is whirling, trying to think of a way out of this. The truth has never steered her wrong before. Maybe twisting it to her advantage would save her skin.
"N-No," she stammers. "I don’t. I don’t want to die, really." She takes a breath and lets it out slowly. "My, ah, m-my security clearance is only level two. I don’t know anything of-of value.”
smirk faltering, his finger teases the trigger. one shot and he'd leave her bleeding and helpless there on the floor. vladimir grinds his back teeth together, patience ebbing. ` i did not bring you here to feed me lies. `
already he just wants to get this over with by embedding a bullet into her head, but she still hasn't given him the information he needs. the information the ultranationalists need. if zakhaev were still alive, he would chastise vladimir for being so hasty.
releasing her chin he pushes her hair back from her eyes, hand oddly gentle, as if he's trying to comfort her into telling him everything. vladimir knows exactly how to get what he wants, and he won't give up until he gets it.
Her lips twist, and she knows that if she talked, no one at Sentinel would blame her. She wasn’t trained for this, had no idea how to handle these kinds of situations. But she was stubborn, stubborn enough to look him in the eye and say, “I’m not talking,” with her voice only quaking slightly.
She meant it, though. She wasn’t going to talk. She wasn’t going to divulge Sentinel’s secrets, wasn’t going to let herself be considered the weakest link yet again. “You’re wasting your time.”
lips twist into a cruel smirk. when he fires the gun in his hand, he has no intent on hitting her. but the bullet hits the ground mere centimeters from her leg. a warning, if you will.
vladimir kneels down before her, reaching out with a gloved hand to grab her chin. he'd rather not get blood on this suit, it's rather expensive, but with how things are going he might not have a choice.
the gun is buried deep into her gut, pushing all air from her lungs. heterochromatic eyes stare into dark browns, cold and calculating. the way he looks at her, it's almost as if she's a filthy animal. as if she's not even human and touching her is going to earn him some sort of plague.
` do you want to die? ` it's an honest-to-God, curious question. there's hardly anything threatening in his tone at all, oddly enough. vladimir's voice is smooth and soft, barely above a whisper.
Shit. The voice makes her twist her head to look at the speaker; he’s right, and she knows that, but the desire to escape outweighs her normal penchant for logic.
"What do you want from me?"
` information. `
the ultranationalists of this time have been undercover, working in secret and preparing to show their faces once more to the world. a long time ago, over thirty years prior, they put vladimir makarov in cryosleep to preserve him until they needed him the most.
` tell me more about sentinel. `
now, vladimir can be a fair individual if he so pleases. perhaps if she tells him what he wants to know, then he will release her and make sure no harm is done to her. or, he'll completely go back on his end of the deal as he's done so many times before and kill her on the spot. after all, there's a reason he's called a mad dog killer.
` -- careful, girl, the more you squirm the more your bindings will hurt. `
okay i need to get some rps rollin but uuuugh i cant think of any sort of open to post
` the symbols you have always looked to for strength, are smoldering in ruins. this is what your greed has brought you. `
VLADIMIR MAKAROV
You think I am mad, but soon, you shall see, that every move, every strike, was meant to bring us to this.

RILEY: I sincerely wish you could’ve heard the noise I just made RILEY: You’re desperate.
KINGFISH: I'm sure it was rather irritating to the ears. KINGFISH: Far from desperate, my friend... I could get the information I need from you with a snap of my fingers, yet I find it's much more pleasurable to pry it out of someone.
RILEY: There’s nothing to hold back, really. RILEY: All it is, is that I’m not afraid. RILEY: There’s no way in hell that Ro would ever be picked off that easily. RILEY: It’s just not his style. RILEY: As for my men… RILEY: They’d throttle me if they knew I’d made a deal with the likes of you.
KINGFISH: Then riddle me this: why should they have to know?

PHOENIX: Understood. I cannot speak for my peers, but I stand by what has been arranged. I will give you what you want.
PHOENIX: So long as you keep your end of the deal, of course.
PHOENIX: I do not think I need to worry about you backing out, though. We Russians keep our word.
PHOENIX: Name your price.
KINGFISH: Simple. The location of your current base.
KINGFISH: That should be enough for me to hand Alkaev over. Oh, one more thing...
KINGFISH: I may have... forgotten to mention that I have more than just one person of interest.
PHOENIX: At present, we have no idea what Yuri’s intentions are. We would like to bring him back and find out, though.
PHOENIX: Recent events have led us to believe he had entirely different intentions in approaching you.
PHOENIX: We aren’t here about you, and I believe that. It would be a fool’s errand, trying to track you.
PHOENIX: Back to business… You are correct. Are you willing to discuss a trade?
KINGFISH: Perhaps a trade is in order.
KINGFISH: But know this, girl, you will play by my rules. I will not tolerate your end of the deal being broken. I will have you and Alkaev killed by the end of the day if you even think of trying to deceive me.
KINGFISH: To get him back, you'll need to provide something I need.
KINGFISH: Intelligence.
