I’m not drawing much these days but I’m having fun going through old stuff. Here are some snaps of the weirdest things plus one recent sketch to show improvement.

Yeah I really dropped the ball on Inktober. Had a crazy concert adventure and just like, didn't keep up. Oh well. Anyway I still can't draw Raditz and his insane hair and I still try regardless.

“Inktober” day 17 - more sketching. I wasn’t particularly inspired today.

Dunno why I keep drawing characters from my RPG that will never be. Have Immundus, everyone’s favorite creature? alien? weeaboo? something. He is the right hand of Le Grand Docteur. Our protagonists don’t know this at first so they blast a hole in his chest thinking he is the big bad. Thank goodness for an immortal body!

"Inktober" day 16 - "Selfie Sunday" with middle quality pastels. I forgot how much I don't care for this set; the color choices are not great. The skin came okay but the hair? Yikes. As far as self portraits go this one is alright. I originally didn't want to draw the entire face and just focus on the hair and torso. I'm trying to be more accepting of my body in this moment in time but it's hard. It's also weird to remember a part of it is artificial now.

"Inktober" day 15 - I tried a new set of oil pastels. I really like how fluid they are but my set lacks a white. Ah well, that's what happens when one gets hand-me-downs. Also excuse potato picture. The last of my SoulSilver team: Cuteness the Ampharos. He is strong and pure. Crappy drawing of an Ampharos though tbh.

"Inktober" day 14 - more of those amazing pastels. I was very frustrated though since the reds were not applying. They're too hard for some reason. I was too scared to find a way to get them to work since they're so high quality. I'd rather not ruin them. Again with the sunsets. This scene was truly magical in real life. The colored paper really worked this time too. Very happy with how this came out.

“Inktober” day 12 and 13 - more sketches. Day 12 went unfinished because anatomy is hard and I am lazy.

Here’s more of villian-ish Le Grand Docteur Serge Dumont. The second one in particular amuses me since the hair style looks similar to the one I gave him for his very first design.

“Inktober” day 11 - another sketch. A day later I went back and redrew her entire face - she looked way too much like a different character of mine.

Here’s an OC from the story I would love to see as an RPG. Sarenite here fills the magical girl of a mysterious race role. She’s perky, cries at the drop of a dime, and there’s something truly off about her. Also the poor thing is well overdue for a redesign - this is the first design from like, 2008 I think?

“Inktober” day 10 - oops haven’t posted for a week. For most of the week in did simple sketches. The week was rough from day 1 so I didn’t have the drive to do anything fancy.

Next Soul Silver teammate is my Heracross. She is unfortunately named Poo Eater. She is pretty goofy I guess.

"Inktober" day 9 - whoooa mama I forgot I more or less inherited a set of high quality pastels and they do not disappoint. I've never used better pastels. I need to use these more. I'm going to designate the remainder of October Sundays as "Selfie Sunday." Self portraits have always been a strong point of mine. This one is far from perfect (it's pretty bad tbh) but I'm too happy with quality of the new pastels to care.

"Inktober" day 8 - back to oils pastels on colored paper. I actually feel okay with how this turned out today. The Cyndaquil line is probably my favorite starter line so naturally my Soul Silver's Typhlosion is named... Dickbutt. Offensive name aside, he is my buddy and kicks major ass.

"Inktober" day 7 - I dug out my old prismacolor set and boy I missed it. Sooooo many color choices. That said, I think I went a little overboard with color saturation. I wanted to keep it light but that didn't happen. Oh well. And don't even get me started on the ink outline... Next up from my Soul Silver team is my Stantler uh, FuckJaneDo. Yes, that's what I actually named her. It was a weird time when I originally started that game... Anyhow, she is destroyer of those weak against psychic-types with her Zen Headbutt. Also I thought she deserved a grass-type flower crown. You go, FuckJaneDo.

"Inktober" day "6" - Oops missed yesterday. Trying to compensate for the missed day but I'm exhausted so I may double up tomorrow. Now with some ink and uh, well, not great. I've been pretty blah as of late. Not a fan of work and I'm scared of what is to come next month. Hoping the feeling passes soon.

“Inktober” day 5 - yikes, wicked tired again. At least I used some colored pencil today?

Number two on my SoulSilver team is my Dragonair, Woobie. Woobie is useless and I hate her. I’m hoping she won’t be useless once she evolves into Dragonite.

“Inktober” day 4 - I’m tired and uninspired today. The change is season is bumming me out. A pencil drawing will suffice I hope.

I decided I will draw my Pokemon Soul Silver team. I’m finally trying to beat it after all of these years. Today is my Pupitar Dinosaw. Someday he will be a mighty Tyranitar.

“Inktober” day 3 - more oil pastels. Yeah did not come out like I wanted. This would have worked much better as an oil painting. I was hoping to leave the negative black space untouched but that failed. That said some dark blue to define the horizon wasn’t bad. The colors weren’t mixing well either but that’s what you get when you use cheap supplies.

Anyway I’m obsessed with sunsets. I take pictures of them a lot.
