fun fact: when he was alive, Frank Sinatra had a following and fanbase consisting mostly of teenage/YA girls, and guys hated him because they didnt understand why girls thought he was so charming. now frank sinatra songs are considered “classic” and “real music” because people forgot he was an idol to teen girls and middle-aged men picked it up in the meantime.

One Direction broke a shit ton of musical records and have still managed to do incredibly well with their solo careers. You can’t listen to One Direction and say their music isn’t dope. You may not like some of their songs but they have some bangers. People talked about Sinatra and The Beatles the same way you’re talking about 1D, my guy. And it’s because of the same mindset.
