“Someone’s gotta give the poor things some love, otherwise they’d be awfully lonely, and we couldn’t have that.”
"I don't know, I'm not an awful person, but I do think I could live with them being lonely little creatures."
“Oh, yeah, I can see how that might be a requirement there. I feel like if I write something down and then I read it, I’m not really reliving my memories. Or maybe I’m just a bad writer.”
“Writing isn’t everyone’s forte, I just find that I see things better through my writing it down, maybe it’s me that has a bit of a silly mind.”
“Don’t even deny it, Mads. I mean you were twelve, so I guess its excusable but it still happened!”
“You don’t have proof ot his, Brie, so don’t go spreading lies about me. The last thing I need is for this to get out.”
“Not fair! Now I’m really curious about this.”
“It’s just my daily workout, going a bit silly, not meant for the general public to see.”
Jackson followed her gaze, smirking when he realised just what Maddy was glancing at. “I do. I have the charming thing down. I’m incredibly muscly for my gorgeous fiance, and loving.” He pointed out as he spun her around, laughing at her reaction. Their lips met and he tangled his fingers into her hair gently, returning the deep kiss. “Mm, I love you too, Mads.”
Biting down on her bottom lip, Madeline couldn't keep her gaze from wandering. "I would have to agree, you did manage to swipe me off my feet, after all." She whispered, smile growing into a grin, slipping her arms around his neck, bringing the two closer together.
“I prefer to keep things between myself, and people I actually know.”
“There’s nothing wrong with that, you don’t have to become so defensive.”
“That is so disappointing, I thought I really had something there. Also, the girl who did so had impeccable form so I was hoping for some lessons.”
"You'd have to be dreaming, in order to actually have seen me dancing on tables. Not that, there's anything wrong with it, it's just not my thing. I am sure you can find a place that offers lessons, or someone at Hogwarts University with the skill."
“Really? I feel like my hand would cramp up if I tried to journal. Not that I never had the 13-year-old, keeping a diary phase, but I’m pretty sure I burned that thing.”
"My major is journalism, so, it's a bit of a requirement. Nothing wrong with that, just a way to keep your memories written down for safe keeping."
“Plenty of people aren’t fans of spiders, never worry.” He agreed, dropping the book.
"This is very true, I don't quite understand people that are, but I suppose, someone has to be?"
Text || Maddy & Patrick
Patrick: Of course it would. I'm so charming.
Patrick: Like there's prince charming, then there's me. On a completely different level.
Patrick: Aw Mads, you're a sweet one.
Madeline: I don't think you're meant to claim yourself as charming, but I'll let you have that one, any how.
Madeline: I do try.
At her response, Jackson brought his fingers up, a grin plastered on his face lazily as he traced the colours forming on her cheeks. “A little bit, but I suppose I need a girl like that. I dress up like Captain America for Comic Con every year, so loony is my type.” He let out a triumphant cry, picking her up and spinning her around, forgetting about his nakedness and the cream. “It won’t cause problems. Fuck em if it does Mads.” He murmured as he placed her back down on the floor, his lips moving to hers again.
Madeline's gaze averted downward, hair covering her face momentarily, her smile growing into a grin. "You make a very handsome Captain America, if I say so myself." She murmured, squealing the moment her feet left the ground, the colour on her cheeks darkening to a crimson shade. "I love you." She added in agreement, breaking the space between them with passion filled kiss.
“Wait, what action did I miss?”
“It doesn’t quite matter, so long as you missed it.”
“You’re honestly telling me that you weren’t standing on the table last night?”
"I can honestly tell you, that wasn't me, perhaps you're confusing me with someone else?"
“Yeah yeah yeah, whatever goldilocks. Sometimes I have to invest my stress and anger into the unimportant things because if I didn’t, that stress would bubble up and up and up inside me. Until the anger got so intense, the big things were so catastrophic, I couldn’t cope with them. Problem with that?”
"I never said I had a problem with it, I was just trying to offer my assistance, but I can see you'd prefer to keep things to yourself. Not that, there's anything wrong with that."
“Send him my love. I hope his guilt is lessened, he deserves to be guilt-free. One of my imaginary friends used to feel guilty, now she journals it. Very cathartic.”
“I have now done so, he’s nodding, so I will take that as him now living guilt free. That sounds like a good way to deal with it, something I would do.”
“Was it the cute imaginary friend? If so, I don’t mind. He can knock over whatever he wants. It’s not like I was actually going to read the paper.”
"Of course, the cutest. I'll let him know, but there's far too many people around right now, and he tends to get shy. That's reassuring, the guilt must be lessening for him now."
“It’s like…I want to punch you in the face, but you don’t deserve the effort i would have to put in to move my arm.”
“I’m not entirely sure why, considering I haven’t actually done anything to you, other than request an apology for bumping into me, and ask if everything was alright. You are a bit over dramatic, you know?”
