“I’m impatient everywhere.” Lennox laughed, sticking her tongue back out in return before spinning in a circle with the music. “I’m glad I decided to come with him instead of staying shut up in my room. He definitely is like a big teddy bear and he gives the best hugs.”
“I would have dragged you out if you tried to stay in your room. You might be impatient, but I’m stubborn.” She joked before wiggling her eyebrows. “Do you like him?”
stefannott:
Stefan didn’t want to be speaking to this annoying mudblood girl right now but neither did he have in him to tell her off, he was just too emotionally weak to be doing anything. “There’s nothing to do now, she’ll get better soon.” She had to, or Stefan would lose his mind. “Yes, she is. She is a nice girl.” he mumbled under his breath. “Much too nice.“
Sophie reached out to give his shoulder a comforting squeeze. “I have no doubt. The potions and healing spells do wonders.” She said with a small smile. “I just wanted to let you know that I’m here for you, and I know a lot of other people are too, even with everything that’s going on.”
clairesitek:
“Wow, it’s hers?” she asked, stepping back to take a better look at it. “She’s done such a brilliant job, hasn’t she?” she said, all smiles as she appreciated the work of her friend. “If I actually like someone, I will.” she said though it wasn’t even close to the truth, Claire hid her feelings more often than not, it was rare that she even admitted to herself if liked someone. “No, you really are the worst liar.” she chuckled.
“Yeah, I know, she’s so talented. I’m going to do a sleepover for her to thank her, you should come.” She smiled excitedly at the idea of Claire being a part of it. “Oh please, if you haven’t found a guy you like in this castle yet, then your prospects are only going to dwindle, unless you’re planning to go after the first years.” She teased, shrugging, “Only when I want to be.”
edgyybones:
“Yeah but if it was a nightmare for you too, then I wish it lasted longer.”
Sophie stood up, shaking her head as she grabbed for her bag. “You know, that’s low, even for you. A girl was fucking kidnapped.” She said, moving away from him. “I don’t know what I did that made you hate me so fucking much, but I’m tired of you. Just leave me alone.”

“I can’t even get peace in the shower. I mean, I know I’m fit and all, but honestly, if you want to see me naked, you’re going to have to try harder. I’d start with maybe asking me to Hogsmeade, or something.”
“I know it’s raining but at least come to the window, I need to talk to you”
“Why are you standing in the rain?” Sophie asked, moving over to the window with a curious look.
“So that ball was fun. What do you think?”
“Yeah, I had a good time. I mean, the aftermath was a bit chaotic, especially Dumbledore stepping down.” Sophie sighed, “I’m starting to wonder if this place is really safe anymore.” Sure, the younger girl hated home, but at least with her father, no matter how bad he was, she didn’t think he’d kill her, or have anyone kidnap her. She was a survivor and that part of her wanted to run.
“Leave me the fuck alone.” Stefan said as he heard the other step towards him. It seemed his life had gone completely out of control in the past few days, and as someone who liked to be in control of everything, this was a fucking disaster. He honestly doubted if he could deal with meaningless chit chat when he was in this state.
Sophie sighed, looking at the boy for a moment. “I’m sorry, I heard about your sister.” She said quietly. “I don’t have any siblings, but I imagine it sucks. I just wanted to see if I could do anything for you or for her. Hugo says she’s a nice girl.”
“Don’t talk to me.”
“Sorry, you just looked sad.” Sophie said quietly.
“That was one nightmare of an evening, I am glad that is over.”
“Finally, something we can agree on.” Sophie said with a sigh.
huggleshugo:
“Sorry.” he grinned. Of course he’d be very pleased if his own house won this year. But he didn’t really get why he should argue with her about it. “I suppose that’s one way to look at it.” he chuckled. His expression hardened however, when she mentioned her father. Their father. A guy who’s wrath he had narrowly missed. He looked away from her, suddenly pretending to be very interested in the decorations. “Okay then, we should go to Hogsmeade and buy the chocolates, maybe tomorrow or something if you have time.”
Sophie laughed, ruffling his hair. “I’ll teach you all about arguing with me another day.” She teased, but noticed the hardening expression before he turned away and she frowned. She assumed he’d somehow heard about her mother’s death and sighed. “I don’t know how you found out, but really, it’s okay. I mean, I miss her, just like you miss your parents, but I’m okay.” She explained, before nodding. “That sounds good to me.”
huggleshugo:
“Yeah, Nott, but she’s - she’s not like that.” he mumbled, not really sure why he was defending Gabrielle to her. Sophie wasn’t all wrong but he trusted that Gaby hadn’t rejected him because he was muggleborn, she wasn’t someone who’d do that. He knew it. “Amelia is nice.” he added, starting to feel slightly embarrassed from all the talk about girls. “Chocolate frogs for Ivanna, what do you want?” he asked as they stepped into Honeydukes.
Sophie shrugged, “Good for her then.” She wasn’t one to judge people based on their family. She’d rather let people be judged on their own merit. “I think so, not that she and I are close, or anything, but she’s good at quidditch, it makes for fun competition.” Looking over at him, she smiled, “Chocolate cauldrons. They’re next on my list of things to try. What about for you?”
clairesitek:
“Is there even a question about that.” she said teasingly. “Though honestly, you’re rocking it today, my dress kind of looks dull compared to this gorgeous red.” she said looking a it longingly. “Hey, that’s my game to play.” she laughed. She pouted too when she pulled a face, though it turned into a smile almost immediately. “You’re a terrible liar, Soph.” she teased.
“Lia made my dress, actually. She did an amazing job.” She said with a small laugh, looking down at the dress happily. “Oh? Well, you can’t play match maker for yourself.” Sophie laughed, shrugging, “Only when I want to be.”
Biography
Name: Sophie Hallowell DOB: May 8, 1962 House: Gryffindor Year: Fifth Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Blood Status: Muggleborn Alliance: The Order FC: Victoria Justice
Life:
TW: Abuse
Sophie was once a normal muggle girl. She went to school, her mother taught dance lessons, which she attended from the time she could walk, she played in the park with other children, and her life was fairly normal, or, at least, that’s how it appeared. Behind closed doors, when Sophie and her mother were home, they faced the monster that was her father. Others found the man charming, never thinking twice about the girls getting bruises from tripping down stairs, or Sophie’s broken arm from falling out of a tree. Those seemed like valid reasons for injuries, no matter how frequently the two were hurt. And he always promised he’d never do it again, going through the motions of apologies and buying them gifts, but it always happened again. That’s how her father got away with it; his charm and handsome smile, always buying his two favorite girls something new to spoil them with. No one wanted to think he could be a monster behind closed doors, even Sophie’s mother. People will believe anything if they want it to be true badly enough.
With the first uses of accidental magic that showed up in Sophie, mainly those of protection, her father grew angrier. It wasn’t that he was a violent alcoholic, triggered by drinking, or that the girls did something that might especially anger him on the days that it happened, it was small things that happened on days when he was in a certain mood. So, when he went at Sophie one day after she’d left one of her toys on the floor and he’d stepped on it, and he was knocked backwards into the wall by nothing, she got a worse beating. Sometimes, her magic protected her mother, sometimes herself, it depended on the day and her own emotions. When Sophie was eight, and her magic had caused her father to fall down the stairs after a particularly bad beating, her mother took Sophie and left. It wasn’t long, however, before their father found them. Less than a week, in fact, and he threatened to take Sophie away from her and never let her mother see her again, saying he’d already contacted a lawyer. Her mother couldn’t bear the thought of her daughter being alone with him, so they returned home, where everyone told them that they were sorry for the loss of Sophie’s grandfather, who, had been dead since before Sophie was born. It was then that the two girls realized just how stuck they really were.
When Sophie was eleven, however, she got a Hogwarts letter, one of the school’s professor’s bringing it to them. Her father was furious and didn’t want his daughter to go to the school, but her mother was glad that Sophie would be out of danger for the majority of the year, even though she didn’t vocalize this, or her support for the school. Eventually, the professor convinced her father to let the girl attend, the mentions of not being able to use magic outside of school being the main attraction. It gave him back the control he’d lost before with his wife and daughter, along with another reason to take his anger out on his daughter; she was sin in need of punishment. Plus, if he ever did drive her to use magic, she would be expelled, so for him, it was a win, win. Hogwarts quickly became a safe haven for Sophie, at least, for a while. It was when words like ‘Mudblood’ and ‘Muggle Scum’ were tossed her way, along with curses that she realized she’d been wrong. However, at Hogwarts the Gryffindor had a fighting chance. She refused to take it, any of the bullying and pain that came with it. She wasn’t the smartest, or best at dueling, but, Merlin help her, she took nothing laying down. She fought back with everything she could, often studying harder than many of her housemates in certain classes just so she knew how to defend herself. She fought back when she was ridiculed, or attacked, and defended others as best she could as well. That isn’t to say she went looking for fights, but she refused to be ashamed of who she was, or hide out, because some people wanted to hurt her. She’d been hurt her whole life without cause, so it didn’t scare her anymore.
Things changes during her fourth year, though, around April, there was a car accident and her mother was in a coma for almost a month before she died of organ failure, and Sophie was left alone with her father. Hogwarts really became her safe haven, because the only time he could hurt her was when she was home. Not everything at Hogwarts was about feeling safe, however. She had friends, enjoyed flying and magic, she joined clubs and went to Hogsmeade. Sophie even made the quidditch team her fourth year as beater, and a prefect her fifth. Hogwarts became her home and her friends became her family. Little did she know, that she even had a half-brother living in the Hufflepuff basements.
Personality:
Sophie is a strong girl, but she is vulnerable as well. It takes her a bit longer to trust people, because she knows how much damage one person can do. Still, she is amicable and usually kind, always trying not to bring pain to others if she can prevent it. She isn’t always the brightest when it comes to school work, but she is street smart and quick on her feet.
