I enjoyed making this time lapse video. I wasn’t entirely happy with the first arrangement so I redid it. This is for an exhibit at the Art School that is for the month of June.

Baby’s breath. Gypsophillia. Takes about 50-60 tiny flowers to make one branch. Baby’s breath flowers are toxic so they should never be used on a cake. Even if you wrap the stems with floral tape and insert them into straws on the cake; even if you’re very careful that the real flowers are not touching the cake: can you be really sure they’re not, even when being handled by others? Why risk it?

Pretty happy with how this Bearded Iris turned out. Swipe to see the progression. It’s still not the easiest flower to assemble, whether wired or without wired petals (this is without wires). Have to assemble the flower while the petals aren’t fully dry in order to make all 9 parts fit correctly. My first try making a honeysuckle. The one on the left with the real on the right. These would make great filler flowers with a pop of color.
