Normally, Jude would leave people alone. But he was feeling a little down, and helping others typically made him feel at least a little bit better. Besides, this woman looked familiar…though they lived in a small town, so maybe that was all it was. Just someone he’d passed by before. He shook his head, putting a hand up to push the bottle away. “No, thank you…I’ve got an audition tomorrow, so it’s just water for me,” he said with a smile, still looking at her. “Are you okay?”

“Audition?” she asked, her interest being piqued by the idea that maybe this random stranger was into the arts like she was. Waving her hand, she ignored his question, shaking her head. “What for?”

James had just finished his shift, so he headed to the 21st Amendment like he always did. When he slipped out the back to light a smoke, he spotted a familiar face. “Always,” he said. He took a hold of the bottle and chugged a large sip before giving it back to her. His whiskey colored eyes studied her features, noting how riled up she seemed. “You okay?”

Madi handed him the bottle and didn’t try to make further conversation as he took a long sip from the container. She watched him with a slight smirk, happy to share despite her soured mood. “Just peachy,” she replied bitterly, taking the bottle back from him and tucking it under her arm. “I drink like this all the time.” Her voice was deadpanned, and she met his gaze with an expression that proved she was being sarcastic.

“You sure about that?” Kim asked, furrowing her brows while looking at the blonde. She wasn’t sure what was wrong with her, but there was nothing she wouldn’t do to ensure she was well and happy. “Want my honest opinion? You can’t be pathetic, drinking your sorrows away behind closed doors. That’s a waste of energy. Go slutty it up so we can go out and have others buy us drinks.”

“Slutty it up, huh?” Madi said, raising an eyebrow as she looked at her with an expectant expression. “I should saw something about that being anti-feminist or something, but I’m far too tipsy to make any good arguments,” she teased, bringing the bottle up to her lips and taking another swig before nodding. “Okay. Fine. Let’s go out.”

Finley happily let herself be led toward the couch, more engrossed in the sweet and addictive taste of Madi’s lips than where she was being led. She trusted the other after all and with the warmth of passion and alcohol seeping through her….she was more compliant by the second. As she watched Madi drop down onto the couch, she took the very brief moment to slip her coat from her body and toss it aside. She moved her small frame into her lap easily, splaying her hands across Madi’s stomach as she let herself settle. The point was very clear to Fin by now. This was really not a night for talking. So she let her tongue meet Madi’s, let her hands wander and her breathing quicken as she kissed a searing line along Madi’s jaw and down her neck. “You’re so gorgeous, Mads…” She whispered against her hot skin.

Finley’s breathing quickened and her small hands moved into the tight gap between them so she could clutch the front of Madi’s top as their faces drew closer. It wasn’t like she’d never been this close to Madi before but the heat of the moment crept over her skin and caused her to make a small noise as their lips met. The taller woman was incredibly gorgeous and despite the fact Fin knew their minds were not sound, she knew that this wasn’t out of nowhere. So she grabbed harder and kissed her firmly, going up ever so slightly on her toes.

Madi hummed with every small sound Finley made, feeling completely at ease with the fact that she had made this first move and Finley was reacting positively. She moved them back, walking them toward her couch. She turned them around just in time to sit herself down against the cushions, her hands reaching out and pulling Finley with her, leading her into straddling her lap. Her fingers found purchase in her hair again, and she kissed her harder, more desperately, wanting nothing more than to be closer and to taste her - every part of her.

Fin couldn’t resist the soft noise that slipped from her lips when Madi’s fingers brushed the back of her neck. Her head bowed forward a little and she took in a deep breath. Madi’s eyes froze her in her spot and at first she nodded dumbly. “I wouldn’t have said if it I didn’t want-” She trailed off and blinked, feeling Madi’s body move impossibly closer. She breathed shallowly, feeling heat spread up her neck. “What exactly is….what exactly is the idea, Madi?”

The corner of Madi’s mouth tilted up in a smirk. Her hand cupped the back of her neck, her fingers wrapping themselves into her hair. Being an inch taller than Finley, she had to lean down a bit, and as she spoke, she only brought her face closer to Finley’s. “I’ll show you,” she breathed, and pressed her mouth to hers, taking a deep breath as she tightened her grip on the other and pulling her ever closer.

Finley bit her lip and looked at the other with a slightly forlorn expression. She might see herself like this daily but to see others like this absolutely broke her heart. Especially people that she’d grown to care about. And Madi….well, she cared about Madi. “Then…” She reached for the alcohol bottle and took a burning glug. Then she set it back and pulled Madi toward her. Liquid confidence. Fingers wrapped around her hips and her eyes sought for the younger woman’s. “No talking. Just…” Her eyes lingered lower on Madi’s face. Traced the lines of her lips. “Dance. Teach me to dance…”

Madi let Finley pull her toward her, one of her arms coming up and wrapping around the other’s shoulders. Her hand played with a strand of hair that brushed her fingers lightly. Raising an eyebrow, she looked at her curiously. “You sure you want to dance?” she asked. Alcohol made her bold. “I have a better idea.” she pressed her body fully to Finley’s. “If you’re down.”

“Family issues,” Madi said, shrugging her shoulders as she took the bottle back and took a swig. She let it fall to her side, swinging it slightly. “My father’s an asshole.”

“Ah, well, I’ve grown used to it,” Madi shrugged, looking at her hands before running them through her hair. “The adults are actually harder to handle than the kids, most times.”

“Sorry, old habits die hard.” She smirked, crossing her legs over the sofa. “A bad day? You’re sitting there trying to get an alcohol poisoning. I would call that the worst day.” Kim responded, a little sarcastically but always meaning well. “You’re not getting this shit back unless you tell me if I have to kick someone’s ass.”

Madi huffed, leaning back against the back of the couch, her arms crossing over her chest. “You don’t have to kick someone’s ass,” she told her. She might think her father is a dick, but she also didn’t think Kimberly could take him in a fight. Not to mention, she wouldn’t put it past her father to hit a woman. “Can I please have my alcohol back? Unless you have a better way to forget my problems?”

Chenault socially drank but other then that she treated her body like a temple and decided not to drink just as a personal reason to herself but that didn’t meant that she actually judged anyone else; “No it’s okay-… I don’t drink that much” she stood there her arms hugging her frames; “Why are we drinking? Is there an occasion?”

Madi laughed under her breath, shaking her head as she brought the bottle to her lips and took another swig of the vodka she had chosen. “Oh, uh,” she laughed again, shaking her head. “Not really. Just... you know, drinking.”

Finley tilted her head as she looked intently at Madi. Drinking to combat issues? How very familiar. How very cliche. “I always want some.” She remarked softly as she took the bottle and tipped it back. She spluttered and extended the bottle again, feeling a sickening burn hit her stomach. For a couple of seconds she was quiet before she sniffed and looked over at the woman, reaching for her hand. “Don’t take advice from someone like me. But this shit is better dealt with sometimes…” Chewing her lip, she wrapped her fingers around Madi’s. “You don’t want to talk, do you?”

Madi smirked as she watched Finley take the bottle and a swig, laughing under her breath slightly when she grimaced. She took it back and placed it down at her side, shaking her head. “No, I’m okay,” she told her, holding her hand tighter. “I don’t really want to talk.” She inched a little closer to Finley, her blood humming with warmth.
