Bridgette still went home every now and then, but did return home a lot less after her fatherâs disappearance. Mainly it was because she couldnât deal with the house being so quiet and not having her father to talk to and some of it was because her awkward conversations with her mother and her motherâs occasional crying sessions. She did go home every couple of weeks though to do laundry and sometimes to raid the fridge for some more expensive treats that her mom might have bought. This time, Bridgette went home, knowing her mother was out of town for a short trip with some friends, so she could do all that she wanted to do in peace. As she pulled up, she saw a car on the side of the street and a familiar looking woman walking around from the back of the house to the front with a camera. Bridgette got out of her car and adjusted her jacket and put her hand over her eyes to shield them from the sun. âYou know, I definitely thought that when the paparazzi showed up at my house, itâd be because Iâm having a fling with a hot movie star who is filming something in Madison, Wisconsin but decided to run away to Edgewood to âget away from it all.ââ Bridgette looked around before turning back to the woman who she recognized from a bar she was at one night. âShould I be calling the cops orâŚ?â
Sometimes, Madison realized that she needed to have a plan before she walked head first into something. These days she felt like she was getting a little more reckless when it came to the things sheâd been doing. Madi didnât want any of that to backfire on herself or Cat. She really did need to think her plans through before she did them. Maybe one of these days it would be Cat having to save her, instead of the other way around. Today, she realized, was not one of those days, as she searched around the house for something. Madi didnât know what she was looking for, she only knew that she wanted something. She probably should have been more apologetic about being caught, except she wasnât. She wasnât working on a story or anything. âThat sounds like the plot of a stupid Lifetime movie,â Madison responded with a laugh, and then shoved her camera into her bag. âUh, please donât call the cops on me. Iâm not trying to break in or anything. I swear. I was just... Dominic said to come here to look for information on something and Iâm too chicken to actually knock on the door. So,uh, I just thought Iâd take some photos for myself. Iâm not working on a story.âÂ
