Scrubs and Cars || Madison & Brian
Brian hated leaving, and he hated leaving the beautiful brunette behind but he couldn’t turn his back on Dom, they had grown up together and it just wasn’t in Brian’s nature. He wanted to stay so badly with Madison but he knew that he had to do this job in Brazil with Dom and the rest of the crew, after that it would be the end of their runs. They pay grade this time would be something beyond them, and they would never have to go back to the life again. Brian’s only problem was now they were seriously wanted people in all of America. But that wouldn’t stop Brian from being away from his friends, his family, or his girl. Brian knew he would return to Lawrence and if he ran into problems there well then he would deal with that when it came to it for now he had to see his girl.
Brian flew back to Lawrence with Dom, and instead of going home for a welcome home party at Dom’s he just waved them off, saying he would catch up with them later. There was something else Brian needed to do. Brian got into his blue sky liner and sped off towards the hospital. He tried to keep his speed down but honestly speed limit was not in Brian Milligan’s vocabulary. He parked under a street lamp near the staff area of the emergency room; it was where all the staff came to smoke. He didn’t particularly love her habit of smoking, but he was sure she didn’t love his habit of racing so he didn’t argue with her about it much. Brian couldn’t help but smile when he saw the brunette exit into the parking lot, smoking a cigarette. He swore she got more beautiful every time he left for an amount of time. He hated leaving her, and this one job took longer than expected so he knew there would be hell to pay for that later but he honestly just wanted to see her.
Brian got out of his car, leaning his back against it with his arms crossed as he watched her attention move to the sky liner. He waited a moment, completely still as she started coming towards the vehicle. He tried to stay in the shadows of the car but he was too excited to see her. Brian smiled as he pushed off of the car and started towards her. “Hello beautiful lady.” Brian said as he finally met her, wrapping his arms around her gently. “Miss me?” He asked, but knew that would be an understatement.Â
She had expected her night to be bland, or about as bland as it could possibly get. The amount of time spent running between patients had actually exhausted her. Working overtime was a wonderful thing, but going nonstop for fifteen hours was killing her. She loved being out of the house, with something to keep her occupied - but her bed was looking pretty good right about now. She couldn't wait until she crashed, but when she spotted the illuminated skyline - she knew that wasn't going to happen. The night would be spent with Brian and she wouldn't have it any other way. She missed the moments where she could be close to him - hell, she missed him all together. The day he left was the day a part of her went missing.Â
As a pair of arms wrapped around her, a smile formed upon her lips. The embrace he had her in made her fell safe, secure, and well - loved. If she could have it her way, she'd never leave his arms - but she knew that would never happen. "Brian!" She exclaimed, tossing the lit cigarette over her shoulder - not wanting to potentially burn him. She knew he didn't like her habit of smoking, but with the stress the hospital put her under - it was an excellent way to calm down. Perhaps it wasn't the healthiest, but it did the trick. "Of course I missed you!" She replied, wrapping her slender arms around his neck. She remained quiet for a few brief moments as she allowed herself to bask the moment. Oh how she had missed him.Â
"How long have you been back?" It couldn't have been too long, surely. She knew she was one of the first ones he'd go see, besides his actual family. "More importantly, how did everything go?" When he left, she worried about him. She didn't know what could happen in the race world, but she knew that it was dangerous. As much as she trusted him to return in one piece, the others were the ones she worried about. They were the ones who could hurt him, especially if they were on the other side.Â
