It was a strange thing for him, having someone else care for him. Most everyone he started to care for left or found someone else. It happened to him over and over again. That he like someone and care for him to have them just leave or end up in someone else’s arms. But Madi was sweet, and kind she had everything he liked. A talent he loved that she could hold her own and could sing. That she had big eyes, he loved eyes and he always got lost in hers. “I really need to show you mine” It was Broadway she may of been there, but she hadn’t been there with him. He was cared to kiss her, worried it wouldn’t be the right thing. That she didn’t feel the same, that she didn’t care. It wasn’t to long before she was kissing him back. He just let his feelings go as they kissed be he broke it just smiling at her. “hi..” he just laughed lightly.
“I can’t wait” She smiled. New York and Brooklyn was a whole new world to Madi and having someone to learn it with would be a far better way to get to know her new home. This feeling right here was what she had always dreamed of. Of all the love songs she had ever written how it felt in real life was a thousand times better. Kissing Myles was nothing like kissing those one night stands she had on tour. This was something real, not something that would disappear once the sun came up. “Hi-” She giggled, squeezing Myles’ hand where they were still interlocked. “I really liked that...” she said softly, placing a kiss on his cheek.

He smiled at her, happy her was nervous but he was happy at the same time. Being around her made that feeling happen with him. He had been alone for years and depressed on and off. So being happy around her was a nice change. “Alright if you really don’t mind I can stay with you on the bed…” he bit his lip and moved his hand on top of hers, just lacing his fingers with them. “it should be nice here… with you” he didn’t know what to say or do he was rambling slowly before he just gave in and leaned into kiss her lips.
There was that smile again; the smile on Myles’ face made Madison so happy, it was like when Logan was finally happy Madi could be happy too, and she felt the same with Myles; if he was happy she was happy too. It was strange that your own feelings could be affected by some else's’ but that’s what made it magical; a connection she only had with the people she cared for above all else. She really did care for Myles. “It is nice, here with you, having you here in one of my favorite places...” she replied softly. For a moment Madi was frozen as Myles pressed his lips to hers but it didn’t take more than a split second to be kissing him back, slowly, getting to know him, feeling him, letting the emotions wash over her as everything that had been developing between them over the past weeks and months finally bloomed
Weekend in the Country || Mylson
Myles laughed with her. “I would hope so… I mean it’s not like a horse goes so fast …and smells… and moves more” he joked. He felt like he could do it, that he could ride a horse. But he had really never been around them so he had no idea if he could really do it. “You know it’s funny that’s what I say about a New York taxi ride” he laughed. But really it was something you had to do once in your life. A New York taxi wasn’t like any other, and he loved it really. “But with you, it maybe not as bad” he smiled. He was worried about getting hurt or the horse would like him or not.
He felt it, she was nervous and it was bit too. That he hadn’t been close to someone in years so it was a good feeling. “I don’t mind…. “ he said about saying on the couch or with her really. “We are adults after all nothing has to happen but sleep” he had shared a bed with friends before without a problem. But he cared about her a lot, he liked her and didn’t want to mess up.
Madison was relaxed by the fact Myles seemed a little nervous too. Which in her head made no sense that she would be relaxed by someone else’s nerves, but it gave her the feeling that she might not be the only one feeling something between them. “Then if you don’t mind, and I do mind you sleeping on the floor, you should sleep up here with me.” Her voice wavered a little, her words were definitely more confident than her tone. “She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. “I’d like it if you slept with me Myles because I’d like it, not just because the other option is not an option.” She smiled softly, feeling much calmer now she had just gotten the words out.
Weekend in the Country || Mylson
He hadn’t really touched a horse in years, and other farm animals, maybe at a fair or something. “i wouldn’t even know how…” he laughed “I think the last horse I rode was the carousel at the park..” he rubbed the back of his head with a laugh. He hoped he could be better about it, but the country really wasn’t his style. He had loved the city since he was little and never thought of anything else. He had normal house outside the city and then moved into the city as soon as he was old enough. “I don’t mind at all” he didn’t want it to be weird, and they were in the middle of friends and more than friends he knew it. “Just get me a few pillows and it’s fine…” he wanted to change the topic but Madi didn’t allow it and soon sat onthe bed so he sat by her. “Madi…” he smiled at her.
Madi laughed “if you can ride a carousel then you’re going to be an expert” she laughed. “Honestly if you don’t want to we really don’t have to, but it’s an amazing feeling, even if you just do it once in your life it’s something everyone should do. I’ll even let you ride with me and not make you do it on your own.” She replied with a certian excitement in her tone that was only usually heard when she was talking about new music she was working on.
“I want you to- if you want to that is- if you don’t- I mean- you could stay here with me- in the bed- if you wanted to sleep with me-” She was stupidly nervous about this, and honestly she wasn’t usually a nervous person, it was something about Myles she didn’t want to spoil whatever it was happening between them. She smiled softly into his blue eyes not quite believing she was here beside someone the set her soul free in a way she had never felt before. Maybe she didn’t need the country if she had Myles beside her.

He wasn’t going to be too bad, well he hoped not. That he could handle the dirt and the animals and everything else that came with the country. They were not that far out in the country it wasn’t that long of a drive from the city. But to him open spaces and not seeing tall buildings was the country to him. He was from another world then this, so he was far from used too it. Normally he would never and if it wasn’t for him he would spend his week in his apartment alone. ‘Wait…a horse?” he had only seen the ones around the park and never liked what they did with them so he was never part of it. He had outdoor shoes and some old clothes and a new plaid shirt that his friend said was country. He followed her carrying the bags walking to the room he smirked. “Oh” he went and sat the bags down and smiled at her. “I can say on the floor or couch it’s cool” he didn’t mind and he slept on floors before so he wouldn’t hate it to much. “I would say my dogs would love this but they are more city boys then me Clyde cries when he gets wet at the park” he said wanting to change the subject since it was a bit awkward.
Madi laughed, “Yeah we have a couple of horses, they live on the neighbouring farm.” she smiled, “You don’t have to ride but I swear it’s amazing.” Madison hoped over their few days away she would be able to get Myles comfortable with being somewhere different. Some people were made for the city and some for the outdoors. Madi was an outdoors person but the nice thing about Brooklyn and New York was that there are so many different experiences right on your doorstep that it almost didn’t matter to her because she enjoyed having all of these new experiences. Myles would teach her about the city and she would teach him about the country, and that was one of a whole host of reasons that they got along so well. “No that’s not fair I invited you on vacation and I messed up not specifying what we are, not like, i just mean-” Madi was lost for words, and could only laugh awkwardly when Myles quickly began talking about the dogs. “Myles-” Madi said softly sitting down on the bed....
Weekend in the Country || Mylson
He stood back, a bit lost at the moment. The new place, the fresh air, the guy Madi seemed to know. He was wondering if he could handle all of this, it wasn’t his thing at all. “But it’s dirty”. he said he was kidding but still he really didn’t like to get dirty. “You know I been a city boy all my life” he seen animals and the country before but really it wasn't his thing, well he thought so. He looked down then at her “Wait why the lady at the shop said they are great boots…” he did try to get better clothes for the trip but the city really didn't’ have what he needed. He went around and grabbed his bag then hers and smiled at her, she was, something and he didn’t know what to do about it. He helped her with the bags inside and looked around, it was nice it seemed like a good place.
“Yeah yeah city boy, but we have indoor plumbing don’t worry about that it’s not the wilderness it’s only upstate.” She laughed, it was nice seeing Myles out of his comfort zone for a change. She always thought doing something new was healthy for the soul so she was happy he had agreed to come along. “They are good, but if we go horse riding you need proper boots for that. I can clean everything you brought with you before we leave too so you won't have an ounce of country left on you by the time we get back.” She laughed, not in a mean way but in a teasing way, she thought it was kind of adorable that Myles really didn’t know about this stuff. Madi lead the way through the ranch-style house, smiling to herself after Myles had picked up all of the bags, it was very gentlemanly of him and she thought it was very sweet. She stopped suddenly as they walked and a blush rose up her cheeks. “So Thomas, the housekeeper who was here when we arrived, he only set up one bedroom, I think he thought we are you know and-” She stuttered not really knowing what to say....
I didn’t even get a please, and people say I’m rude~ I prefer the term that I keep things interesting.
Please Beth, my face is so red right now I might set on fire. Okay fine, you keep things interesting.
perhaps upstate new york would have been a better explanation then because i'm sure a lot of people got a bit confused. thank you for clarifying.
You are very welcome my gray faced friend. My parents liked to tell everyone we had a vacation home in the Hamptons, even though it was out of the traditional “tourist” area so the label stuck. I shall remember for future visits.
