Well, Pride definitely doesn’t have much of an impact on the kind of work I’m doing but I’ll always find something to be keeping me busy. But really, no, you don’t have anything to apologise for — I think you actually did anyway though, but I misre—… I was pretty sure that I was the one who’d left the wrong impression.

Daisy. It was definitely me. For sure. I’d just gotten into something at work and my mind wasn’t where it should’ve been giving our conversation the attention it deserved. I wish I could say that wasn’t a regular occurrence for me these days. Where I want to be and where I have to be aren’t the same a lot of the time and I’ve been... kind of flighty in my personal life. But the point is, I did want to be there. You didn’t misread anything. I should’ve made that clear.

It’ll always be a largely male-dominated customer base. Percentage wise? Definitely not grades I ever saw near the end of high school. But when the few women who do come in bring a serious intent to spend, we all have a good time. Yeah. All good things. What about you? Work must be pulling you all over the place. Also I think I uh... might’ve left a bad impression last time we texted. I never got around to apologizing for that.

Useless only when it matters. All of them. Yeah. I don’t know. Weirdly even pretending to be in a romantic mindset with this guy has me the most on edge. I don’t even do romance in my regular life. But it’s just another acting job, right? That lasts all evening. Far away from bouncers and Lila and Dante. With someone who may be pissed at me. Do you have the usual blow and E on you? Might as well stock up for a few days of partying him out of my system. And maybe something like Vicodin. I have... no fucking clue how this is going to go.

It means the cops are a little distracted with everything else that’s been going on. They don’t have the manpower to tackle it in the first place, much less when it’s third or fourth on the list of pressing matters. The sexual assault case takes priority. — What’s wrong? Oh. Then that’s not very good news for your mom’s investigation, is it? It’s just work. Kind of. I owe this guy a GFE. I kind of fucked up an appointment I had with him at the club. Now he’s paying for a date away from it. It’s just... a different ballgame.
