#vash the stampede #nicholas d. wolfwood #trigun #trigun maximum #trigun 1998 #vashwood #man… what a bumm that stargaze just wasn’t at all my vibe #Tristamp fed my hyperfixation so well despite my preference for the manga and 98 #they were not as afraid of consequences #idk man the older I get the more and more and more I appreciate flawed main characters who are well rounded and make mistakes #trigaze did not satiate this hunger of mine at all #disliked trigaze and disliked fma brotherhood for the same reason: the mc’s flawed worldview was rewarded again and again #I want my main character to be a real person with real misconceptions about the world and how it works. I want them to be proven wrong.#I love a good fix it fic. luv them so much but not at the cost of the deepest themes of the og canon!!#referring more to trigun than fma here bc I haven’t actually read all of fma manga #also man am I crazy or did the quality of the art decline significantly. I already was not a fan in the first season…#but in regards to the second season:#these fight scenes were NOT it for me. why was the camera moving at all times. can we just choreograph a nice fight scene without it #being shown from a million angles at once #since the start its been hard to enjoy the art bc the rigs or models or whatever are so limited and often times look odd from certain angles #and in certain poses.#you know what requires full intention in each frame and would not permit that type of weird awkward posing and styling? 2d animation.#I respect that they were doing something new but also I reject the idea that 3d animation is inherently superior to 2d #sigh. just my thoughts #anyway. back to the manga and 98 show and fanfiction!#ps. turned 27 yesterday!! a very exciting age #fan art #enjoy! :’)

#vash the stampede #legato bluesummers #trigun #trigun maximum #panel redraw #these brushes were so fun to work with #man I really can’t get behind stargaze… I was hopeful that legato would die #it feels like all emotional weight behind the story has been erased #knives being evil as a child… vash ‘saving’ the gung-ho guns…#I want wolfwood alive as much as the next guy but man taking away so many important emotional beats from the original canon…#the story has lost so much depth #it feels so directionless #I feel such little investment in the characters which is crazy because I’m actually so obsessed with them generally #but man idk the pacing has been horrible in my opinion #omg don’t get me started on how they have ‘handled’ razlo… shit is insane #and idk they haven’t done the best job of integrating comedic and silly bits into the show #I wasn’t the biggest hugest fan of stampede but man I really did enjoy it n I’ve been so disappointed w the direction this season has taken #there are things I’ve enjoyed and I’ll watch to the end im sure but man we could have had something soooo good…#I still support the two cakes thing like yes more trigun is great!
