Cat Series a series of cats placed on flatbed scanners
The Signs and Rings II:
Aries: A fine gold wire that twists and curves in delicate shapes. Images of leaves and fruiting vines. A relic from a time when food grew here.
Taurus: A blob of silver, melted out of shape. To your surprise, it fits perfectly on your finger.
Gemini: A ring of heavy steel, made to bind something old. The fine details of the angular knotwork are long faded. It is not yours to keep.
Cancer: A simple bronze band, set with a piece of fire coral cast in resin. A wedding present. It smells of salt and blood.
Leo: A ring of stark black iron. A small spike extends from the top. Inside it is a length of delicate red thread. The greatest of a set of 55.
Virgo: A gold ring set with a brilliant cats eye gem, taken from the fingers of a statue that stood in a cursed and forbidden place, now displayed in a market stall.
Libra: A ring of finely polished wood, made by an old friend. It has power, but only to you.
Scorpio: A pair of broad gold bands baring symbols of an old culture. Their shape is meant to invoke memories of shackles.
Ophiuchus: An incomplete circle of twisted metal, reclaimed from the wreckage of the disaster at the train yard. It sits on your skin awkwardly, a constant reminder.
Sagittarius: A band of featureless cast iron, quenched in oil and fat. The ring is a great secret, denoting membership to an ancient and esoteric order.
Capricorn: A ring made from ivory, painted with faded images of flowers. An antique collecting dust on a shelf. Memories of the whale it was made from.
Aquarius: A single nail, bent and coiled into a ring. Wearing it is a painful ordeal, but it draws out strength you never knew you had.
Pisces: A ring stolen from the treasury of a conquered nation. Fine, untarnished metal radiating malice. It smell of charred flesh.

hogwarts common room aesthetics
Griffindor- Late night talks by the fire, cups of tea spilt on faded carpets, uncontrollable laughing fits, ripped robes, ties discarded on sofas, rubbing eyes at 3am over potions essays, catfish and the bottleman songs and air guitar in the solos.
Ravenclaw-Bach records turning on an old gramaphone as prefects dance with mock pomp to the tunes, arguments breaking out over homework, quills floating across the room to students sprawled on cushions, huge piles of old books being toppled by younger students and a cry of uproar going up from 7th years.
Hufflepuff- Huge trays of hot chocolate being passed round in the evenings, knitted blankets, dancing to ABBA, light and airy, but still warm in the winter, smells wafting from the kitchens, bleary eyed hellos in the morning.
Slytherin- drum and bass parties, hurried essays, rainy days, toast by candlelight, searching for discarded shoes in the early morning, waking up wrapped in a blanket half fallen off the sofa in the evening.

Mythical Creatures: Mermaids
“A mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids are sometimes associated with perilous events such as floods, storms, shipwrecks and drownings. They can be benevolent or beneficent, bestowing boons or falling in love with humans.”
