Definitely Deltarune Alpha Release

Definitely Deltarune (Alpha Edition) by Maelstrom Entertainment

An alpha for an eventual fangame, intended to be a bastardized parody of Deltarune.

Alpha for Definitely Deltarune. Contains only some basic features (look at the site for my detailed info). Will likely not update this project for a while as I want to get better before continuing to build upon it.

Recording of Definitely Deltarune Alpha

Test video of the alpha. When creating this, I was aiming to recreate some cartoon-styled "deaths" similar to Crash Bandicoot for the game. But I'm not really sure about them, and have been considering maybe trading them out in place of a more rigid/fluid combat system if possible (or I may combine both, I am not really sure).

Putting this here however to prove that I am at least doing something with Definitely Deltarune. Honestly the most frustrating part of developing this is the lack of free time to work on this. Other than that it's been pretty fun, hoping to have it released on my itch.io in the near future.

Definitely Deltarune Test Animation

It's been years since I've touched 3D animation. Enjoyed doing it again after so long. I hope to get the alpha completed within the foreseeable future at the very least.

Quick summary but the Definitely Deltarune project is intended to be a bastardization of the characters, something I can only describe as an interactable shitpost. I'm not all too focused on making it emotional or deep, just dumb fun.

Definitely Deltarune WIP Models

Some models for a much lower stakes video game I have planned (who's alpha should also hopefully come out soon, albeit in a very barebones form). It should be noted that the images for Kris are a bit outdated as I have since added some freckles to their model.

I haven't been able to work much on Ultimate Deltarune as of late due to various reasons (another injury being one of them). I did however want to make at least something relating to it, so I did this. It was pretty fun and while I do have some issues with the end product (such as how it's difficult to tell what body types some of the variants are meant to have) overall I'd say I'm proud of it and how much of a better artist it's been able to make me overall.

Maybe you'll see individual art of some of them again in the future, who knows.

For the final game, once I can make it, I do want to add more designs based on non-Western cultures for the Vessel. No particular reason, I simply feel like providing more options for people of different backgrounds would be cool for the character who is meant to be customizable. Also I believe, considering modern fandom spaces are now mostly anti-POC and promote racist thought and ideologies, that it would be nice to have more representation for the people who want that. It might even bring some much needed positivity to places that have been lacking that for quite some time.
