How to make a homemade bow

It’s no secret that we love a good DIY project. There’s something so rewarding about wearing something you have handcrafted yourself. You feel like you’ve cheated the system of buying only from retail, and can proudly display your wonderful creation to the world. Today, we have a DIY project we’re absolutely crazy for. We’ve found ourselves crafting bow ties for many occasions- for a new outfit, to place on shoes, or as a gift for some little ones! This DIY project won’t take more than 20 minutes, and we think you’ll be one proud lady of what you’ve made.

How to make polka doted nails with a bobby pin.

Things you will need:

Pearl nail polish Maroon nail polish Clear nail polish Bobby pin

How to style nails:

Step one: paint nails with pearl nail polish. Then wait for them to dry.

Step two: take you’re bobby pin, apply maroon nail polish to rounded end of bobby pin.

Step three: dot painted bobby pin on nail.

Step four: Reapply maroon nail polish to bobby pin and do step three over again. Then wait till dry.

Step five: apply clear nail polish.

Now you have a quick way to dot your nails with a everyday bobby pin.

Have you ever wondered how to make styling your nails easy? Heres one way. Newspaper nails! Things you will need: -newspaper -clear nail polish -light coloured or white nail polish -rubbing alcohol or water -cotton swab -nail polish remover How to apply: Step one: First you will need to wash your hands to make sure they are clean. Step two: Apply a clean cot of nail polish to nail. When dried apply the light coloured or white nail polish to nail. Step three: Pore rubbing alcohol or water into the cap cover or a small dish. Soak each nail in alcohol or water for about 5 to 10 seconds each. Step four: Take a piece of newspaper, place it how you want it and then press firmly on newspaper for a few seconds. Step five: Dip cotton swab in nail polish remover and remove the nail polish that may be on your finger. Step six: Do not touch your nails but let them dry for about a minute and then apply a clear cot of nail polish over top. Now you have a cute, stylish new way to show off your nail masterpiece!

SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED FOR ONE FUN BUN BOW:

- 15×8″ piece of flouncy material. Preferably something with polyester, as it doesn't wrinkle and can have optimal flounce.

- A hot glue gun

- A strip of pleather or ribbon for the center - E6000 glue (this is optional, but if you don’t want your clip to fall off…you probably want to pick some up. This stuff HOLDS. If you use hot glue to attach your clip it will not be as secure) - Alligator (or other) hair clips

HOW TO MAKE ONE FUN BUN BOW:

1. Add a strip of hot glue along the long WRONG side of your fabric 2. Press the ends together 3. Turn the fabric inside out, so the seam is on the inside (that’s the trick!) 4. Place your fabric with the seam up, and flatten it out a bit 5. Put some hot glue on one end, and fold it in towards the center 6. Put some hot glue down the center of the bow and fold the other side in, add some hot glue here and there to keep things in place 7. Flip your bow over and pinch it, wow, that looks AWESOME! 8. If using pleather or other fabric for the center, fold the raw edges in a hot glue them in place to get a clean edge 9. Wrap the pleather or ribbon around the center and then hot glue in place 10. Follow directions on your E6000 to hold your alligator clip in place
