Josh dispatcher and Tyler pilot?
Quiet evening at Columbus Airport, Ohio. Control tower. Josh Dun is lazily sipping coffee in headphones, watching the approaching board on the radar. Flight 21, which is piloted by Captain Joseph, is already preparing for departure on the runway. Oddly enough, this pilot crashed into his memory the most. And he doesn't fly back somewhere.
Preparations for take-off are over.
The hand mechanically pulled the small microphone closer to the lips.
"Flyght 21, I authorise take-off. The wind is on the other side, five knots, the visibility is excellent... It's just like my mood before I saw your call sign."
There is a quiet rustling laughter in the headphones.
"I'm glad to hear. Accepted, tower. I'm flying."
Josh watched as the pot-belly metal machine began to gain speed on its small wheels, gradually breaking away from the ground. Everything is successful, as always. Super.
"Flight 21, beautiful takeoff. Like in a movie. Please report to the approach. Have a good trip."
As part of the work, it sounded... Bright enough. A whole compliment. Captain Joseph even wanted to answer something to that, even opened his mouth and pressed the button... Although... Okay, another time.
…He went downstairs, packed his things, explained the plans to his Banditos and set off on the road to understand his mistakes this time. "It will work this time" - the words were spinning in his head like a mantra that had nourished his spirit all these cycles. This cycle was better than all the previous ones, maybe the next one will be the last. "Yes, this will definitely be the last one."
He walked another mile across the plain and noticed the first glimmer of the yellowness of the campfires and the voices of his men. They greeted him with silence, which was slowly replaced, suddenly, by shouts.
There was someone at the campfire, in the far part, where people gathered around the fire in a ring. Josh licked his suddenly dry lips and froze in shock.
Clancy, confused and covered in mud from head to toe, was silently warming himself by the campfire and stretching his hands to the fire, while their people were quietly whispering around him.
Something in Josh's heart stirred for a moment, and for the first time that day, it wasn't in the direction of the painful failure that had gripped him since the morning.
waterboyy??
I'll take you on a ride
I will make you believe you are lovely.
And I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding,
Right before the lord.
All the words are gonna bleed from me,
And I will sing no more
