No one could come to a consensus. That much was clear.
“Sorry, but I fail to see how killing anyone is going to be of use to us now,” said agentsoflame, speaking up before accusations could fly.
“I don’t know about that,” dontraynamyparade piped up, shooting a glance at arminsslytherinstreak. “There are some people here I’ve never quite been able to trust, and this seems like a perfect opportunity for them.”
noodleship stepped forward. “Perhaps a certain armins-garments has something to say on the matter?”
Rhiannon grew increasingly impatient as the arguing continued. “Alright, that’s enough of that!” she snapped. “We’ll put this to a vote. I’ve had enough violence for one day.”
“I say we don’t kill anyone,” suggested thestereotypebuster. Four other heads nodded in agreement, and after a quick survey around the room, the proposal seemed to be favored by most.
As night fell, all the suspects returned to their respective rooms, locking their doors tight in the hopes no one would come for them in the night - all but one.
A figure leaned against the wall next to undonesia’s doorway, perfectly obscured by the way the shadows fell in their corner of the hall. They waited in silence, keeping a close watch on any movement in the house.
Suddenly, they heard a faint mechanical clicking as the door they hid next to began to unlock itself. Out crept undonesia, on tip-toe, surveying the corridor. The figure froze as her eyes swept right over them, hoping the comfort of the shadow wouldn’t give them away.
It didn’t.
“Rem!” she exclaimed in a breathless whisper, noticing a familiar face a few doors down.
removerapersona silently made her way over - the two embraced briefly, then carefully made their way down the stairs. The figure waited until the pair had reached the bottom before leaving the protection of the shadow.
The two spoke in excited whispers.
“So, I figure the killers must be after something more than just her fortune,” said Rem. “Thoughts, Ink?”
The figure frowned. What was that supposed to mean...?
“You don’t suppose they need it for something?” offered Inky.
Three pairs of eyes widened at the click-click of a gun hidden in the shadows.
Not on my watch, the figure thought to themselves.
Inky turned to see the tip of the gun just behind Rem’s head.
“Rem, no!” she screamed, pushing Rem out of the way as she heard the first shot.
Rem watched in horror as Inky collapsed in front of her. She knelt down, too distressed to be bothered with the presence of a murderer.
“Y-you!” Inky spluttered, looking up at the dim face of her killer. “How could-”
“Why did you have to get involved?” the killer asked. “I was only after Rem.”
Rem slowly raised her head to find herself looking down the barrel of a gun. Her eyes darted upwards, realizing who had done the deed, then down for one last desperate glance at Inky.
The figure had already fled the scene when they heard the second shot, and had begun banging on the doors.
“There’s been a murder!” they shouted at the top of their lungs, hoping to drag as many people as possible out of their beds. In the frenzy to get downstairs to the scene of the crime, the figure wasn’t sure whether the killer had managed to mingle with the rest unseen.
“Not again,” lamented mapshole.
“Two murders? That can’t be right,” said winemomhendrix, still trying to process the situation.
“Rem and Inky both,” added strawberry-froyo, aghast.
A long moment of silence passed, as no one was quite sure what to say in such a situation.
“If only someone had been there to stop it,” remarked thesmallestonewasme.

It is now day phase. Given the very long delay in this update, I’ll allow for extra time to get reoriented, revisit what happened last phase, and maybe catch up on some URL changes. Rule update, since I just got a question: you may send game-related anons. Whether this is a good idea or not only time will tell, but for the sake of experimenting we'll try it out. This also means that when you receive an anon and choose to publish it, you should tag it #mg01!

Inky’s not acting as suspicious as she usually does in games, so I have no reason to believe she’s actually trying to cut down the town population.
But you’re just following her, Noodleship! You’re planning to kill, without trying to respond to anyone or anything. You’re not even trying to question the killing. The point of voting when you’re unsure of who to vote for is to trigger some discussion, get people more involved, etc- because right now we really don’t have much to go on to see who’s the mafia, and are more than likely to just kill an innocent Townie.
Do you want to do that? To lynch one of your own, without any prior thought?
Obviously not, assuming you’re a Townie! We may have many townies on our side, but trust me, that number often dwindles far too much, far too quickly. We may all have our strategies, but voting is only ever truly helpful when you have a good lead on a Mafia member. Otherwise, it’s just murder.
Killing someone is too reckless for this round, in my opinion. Come on guys. Let’s be rational here!
