I l i k e it this way. It's not so bad.
[ The illusory boy closes a single eye in a mysterious, s t o i c kind of something closely related to a particularly … –strange wink, a small frigid finger gently tip-tapping the centre of his forehead where his third eye ( presently hidden, obscured from any life form’s view save for his own ) idly rests. He doesn’t expect for the intriguing life form to understand the gesture, BUT it’s some kind of hidden non-explicit YET still insufferably v a g u e answer outlining additional information to the other’s inquiry all the same regardless. A split second of idleness for a dramatic pause, before Lucas speaks once more, offering an answer perhaps even more vague and mysterious than anything his gesture may have conveyed even. ]
—–Perhaps, perhaps not. Mysteries ain’t always ( almost never are fer tha’ matter ) so –straightforward ‘n easy t’explain now are they? –‘least tha’s what 20 neato mystery books have taught me, stranger.
Although he doesn’t quite understand the gesture (imagining it to be more of a tap on the forehead), he accepts the answer easily enough and doesn’t budge from his spot in the grass.
The other’s presence isn’t entirely intrusive. As odd as they appear in The World, Lucas doesn’t try to persuading him into action--not like Mimiru or Bear--nor try to shove ideals down his throat. It’s a rare sort of freedom, something similar to the way The World worked, and its various ways to play.
“That many mystery books, huh? I guess that explains a few things.”
… Travelled where? Beyond Lyeulia’s borders?
Lyth sat down across the fire, her back towards the cave as she positioned herself. No need to let them get caught unawares by potential thieves or bandits. While they weren’t common, they were a bad enough problem that a traveler had to be wary on the road.
“Once or twice I’ve gone to Vorulia. Can’t say it’s any good considering it’s all in ruins.” The dragoness gave a shake of the head, “It’s a shame as to what happened, an even worse one that there is nothing that can be done about it.”
The names of the locations were foreign to him as he couldn’t recall any of them being part of The World. As more and more locations were introduced to him, it made him wonder as to the status of The World. For it to be changed and updated so frequently to the point he hadn’t been able to remember seeing them anywhere--just how long has it been since that first day?
His brow knitted together at the thought before pressing it back as his interests took a different route. “What happened in Voruria?”
like this for short starter.
What kind of question was that?
“Of course not. I’m just saying you have other options than being here.” She shuffled closer, looking out to guesstimate the weather. It had been clear for the most part, but she wasn’t putting much faith in it to stay clear. Especially given how dark it had gotten the night before. “Surely you’re curious about the outside world besides here.” In a way Lyth didn’t want Tsukasa to leave. It was… well she was surprised that he hadn’t tried to leave Lyeulia. Many people did once they understood how backwards things were.
The wavemaster was well aware of the fact. He’d seen the boats, the signs, when they visited the city, but he had chosen to avoid them. Getting off this land and away from the area seemed like a counterproductive thing to him when all he needed (or so he still believed) was to find a particular item to head back to the root town.
But, her remark of the outside world brought him to stare at the embers in the pit, hardening his gaze. He didn’t need the world outside. Even if he was lost in this area, he found himself wondering why he should head back to the part of The World he knew. It wasn’t as though he had too many ties there. Mimiru ... Bear ... They’d move on to the next mystery of The World.
“ ... have you traveled there? ”
[ It seems that some things don’t quite EVER change over the flow of time; in the illusory boy’s case, observing others particularly when they’ve been taken captive by the m a g i c of slumber is one of those things. Be as it may though, this individual Lucas quietly notes is responding surprisingly well to such a thing. That makes them quite special he thinks –someone worth extensive observation in other words. ]
—–Tha’s the essence of unsolved mysteries; they’ll always find some way ta return ta the forefront of a sentient life form’s mind.
It was funny, hearing the other speak. It reminded him of a Kansai accent, the odd way he’d pronounced words. Translating that accent online was strange, isn’t it? He supposed it wouldn’t be if they were solely using the mic to speak, like most would, or if that was in the NPC’s programming. It’d explain why he sounded so cheerful while using ‘difficult’ (read: something Mimiru might have a hard time understanding) words.
However, he didn’t seem to mind, only staring above at the hovering boy.
“And that’s why you’re here, huh?”
Lyth wasn’t going to argue, it was good enough shelter for the evening. Though, she couldn’t help but wonder why he insisted on travelling so much. It wasn’t so much of a bother, seeing as she travelled a lot herself.
“You know; I wonder when you’re going to realize you can leave on a ship or a ferry if you want to go to another country. Lyeulia isn’t your only option.” She gave a discreet sniff of the air to ensure they weren’t in the way of other creatures… and there were none. Good. “Unless you’re looking for another mage.”
Lyeulia. Even now, the name felt strange to his tongue--rather, he couldn’t pronounce it. Understandable considering the limitations to languages. Her name was difficult to pronounce as well.
His lips curled into a frown as he focused on the ring of stones in front of himself and placed some leaves and what could be burned safely within. “Do you want me to leave?” The wavemaster’s attention was still focused on the makeshift pit, murmuring the familiar fire spell to light it.
“--we’ll rest here for the night.”
He didn’t bother waiting for an answer. The cavern was dry and wasn’t in way of the winds. It was the perfect natural shelter for the night, and he wasn’t about to skip it this time around.

“It’s you again.” It seemed like the strange PC only showed up while he was napping. Was he a figment of his imagination or another one of the mysteries surrounding the World?

What she noticed most was him. The usual scenery didn’t stand out much anymore, but when he stood there like that… Something did feel different. His back was facing her and she wondered if he knew that she continued to only look at him.
Faced with growing curiosities about him, the only option was to move forward.
One her lips is a small smile. Unseen by him, but no less genuine. She needs not ask any question, just embrace the common ground between them. As shaky as they started out, it felt like things could change.
“I too find The World rather enjoyable…”
The wavemaster was fell quiet.
While assured she wouldn’t understand the World like he did, there was something different about her tone. Like it had been from the beginning, she’d been honest to the point of being hurtful.
He looked up at the sky.
Words ... weren’t necessary. This was enough, wasn’t it?

Cooro hummed a bit as he walked through the town, glancing at the shops around him. Sure, he wanted to buy a few of the delicious looking foods, but he only had a few coins bustling his pocket. His stomach apparently didn’t care, and made a soft grumble in response, forcing a soft sigh from him, nonetheless he gave a smile. It was a nice day after all!
He was running through the town again. Hot at his heels were the Crimson Knights and their ever generic outfits. For the most part, he was able to weave about the crowd, traveling where he wanted, up until the end of the crowd. It was then that he’d bumped into a strange child PC.

Tsukasa collects items that he obtains from others and uses them to symbolize them. for Subaru, it’s a feather. for Macha, it’s aromatic grass. For Aura (and Morganna), it’s a worn-out teddy bear.
He has a complicated relationship with Aura and Morganna. At one point, (currently in canon verse) he believes that Morganna is his mother. He doesn’t know her name, and she doesn’t deny his assumption. Aura, on the other hand, is something akin to a new sibling or even a child. At the same time, they’ve shared emotions and experiences before. She’s influenced his thoughts unintentionally, just as he’d influenced hers.
