The Laundry Line

The OED defines laundry as: "2.b. Articles (linen, etc.) that need to be, or that have been, laundered." It is a term that therefore represents the before and after of the items of our daily lives. Distinguished by the simplest and most literal form of cleansing. And then we let our things out to dry on the line. Rarely, however, do we take time to consider the clean laundry. It seems to lack the excitement of the dirt, the stains, the history of its former state. My name is Maggie Brenner and to me the world is filled with simple beautiful things like laundry flapping in the wind on a line. This blog represents my exploration of this notion through various mediums over the course of number of years.
