honestly, i dont mean to outright trash your edits. this is a very honest genuine question: do you know how blue lighting works? i have the same skintone as maggie (i'm also a dark latina) and when i'm in blue lighting i look super pale and weird, dark people don't look dark in blue lighting, we look kinda white or gray; in my personal opinion maggie looks super unnatural in your edits, it's like the light doesn't even affect her!

well yeah i know how blue lighting worksi also know how it affects dark skin bc i see that on myself every day!! we dont look white or gray as youve described in blue light, though!when as lighting as strong as the one in the edits im assuming(?) youre talking about it absolutely would not suddenly make your base skintone several shades lighter. Light bounces off of dark skin more intensely than it does on paler skin. Although, i didnt incorporate this very well into my edits and i apologize for any confusion i may have caused you!For reference, please look at the photo that i took from this post:

I think Maggie's skin tone changes to darker because she's showing more of Tuls, so she's becoming more tree like

nah shes always been like this lolmichelle said that she doesnt have any palettes for the characters so maggies skintone is somewhat inconsistent but in panels with (mostly) neutral lighting and in her official pictures on the cast page shes depicted as a darskinned girl

They're not getting "attacked for no reason" they got rightfully called out for acting like they're leonardo da vinci for making some minor edits to somebody else's fully-detailed artwork, then pretending they're so vastly superior at portraying somebody else's OC's than the own damn creator. Making edits is one thing but being rude and self-important about it is another.

but uh,,, maggie isnt exactly lightskinned 

especially in the more recent panels! her skintone got noticeably darker than it was in the,,say when she was talking to gil for the first timeTheres nothing wrong with seeing maggie as lightskinned,, but there isnt anything wrong with seeing her as darkskinned either

Nothing is wrong with Mag's hair, I get edits and stuff, but idk it just seemed like you where making it out that the artist is wrong.

ah, well personally,, i didnt make the edit myself  but i saw her 3c hair as nothing more than a cute alternative,, and im sure that was the creators intention as well!
