Nyle did exactly what he said he would. Heâd explained to Gregory who was half a bottle of alcohol in so he barely heard what he was saying. Almost seemed like heâd forgotten who Jesus was or wasnât. He couldâve made up a name and made up some odd scenario and Gregory wouldâve bought it. He then brought enough food for a night, some weapons and two bottles of water. He barely needed the water, but he figured half a bottle for himself and one and a half for her. He met her as soon as the sun set, after heâd kissed his wife and son good-bye, as well as gave a nod in Sophiaâs direction â too cool for his love. âAlright, partyâs arrived. I am present.â
at the sound of his voice, maggie opened her eyes and looked over her shoulder. heâd made it, seemingly without trouble. she wondered, briefly, how drunk gregory mustâve been, but then pushed that thought out of her mind. she didnât give a damn about the man; he could drink himself to death for all she cared. âhey,â she greeted, rising to her feet and pushing her hair behind her ear. âready to go?â she glanced at the supplies heâd brought. a few guns and a backpack that seemed full enough, likely with food and water. she stepped forward and held her hand out. âlet me take somethinâ. iâm not goinâ to make you lug all that around while i have nothinâ, thatâs not fair to you.â
