I don’t understand why I don’t see Degrassi talked about very often like... anywhere. It has almost all the representation I’ve ever seen anyone ask for.

Bullying, gang violence LGBT+ rep (non-binary, trans guy, lesbian, gay, bi), mental illness(bipolar, depression, ptsd, panic attacks, drug addiction), physical illness(cancer, hiv, cystic fibrosis), disabilities(wheelchair user, learning disorders) autism, teen pregnancy (including all options, adoption, abortion, keeping the baby + stillbirth), and then many triggering but important subjects (rape, child abuse, domestic violence, suicide, self harm, drug use/addiction, homophobia, transphobia, school shootings, murder, death, eating disorders, racism, islamophobia)

Like... some of the storylines are over dramatic and cheesy but for the most part? Tons of representation of different things! Also the most lesbian characters I’ve ever seen in one show (which sadly is only like 5 but still? That’s important to me!)

I wish it hadn’t been canceled because there are so many other groups I feel could’ve been represented if it had gone on but anyway! Y’all should watch it!
