the romanticization of age-gap relationships within the coquette community has got to stop. that 30-40 year old man does not want you. he wants to manipulate you. i’m tired of seeing #girlboss next to content about “finding a man” and ofc it’s targeting young girls. just the other day i saw a tweet from some random man about how gen z isn’t having enough sex, and that we need to have discussions on the limitations of “consent culture”. first of all wtf???he also targeted teen girls. the old misogynistic men of the world are actively trying to groom young girls. it’s so odd and gross. then the other day on twitter, once again, i saw a young 22 year old woman get doxxed for simply saying she doesn’t want to date old men. the men in her comments were MARRIED w KIDS, mad at her for not wanting them. telling her that she’s just immature. i mean they were frothing at the mouth, and calling women above 22 washed up and damaged. who are the ones damaging them though? exactly. i just find it so odd, especially with all the policies that politicians (republicans) want to pass. so many men, grown men at that, are angry that women today are pushing back against them. women know their worth. they don’t like that at all. i want more for girls. i want more for women. i’m a young black queer femme living in nyc. i hate living under the patriarchy. i’m so sick of it. every project i do, ever assignment i turn in, i somehow relate to women’s rights. it’s so prevalent all around me. we deserve more.

i have a semi unhealthy attraction to older men as a result of childhood trauma… and this is something that’s affected me for a long time and put me in pretty bad situations. i also am a lana del rey stan so obviously i’m exposed to a lot of the coquette community online. and i have to say it rly does bother me the way ppl speak about this specific topic.
