Anybody else ready for this?!
At 11:50 am on September 11, 2016, my dad Bernard R Joscak passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by loved ones. âHe is flying with the birdies", that's what I told Rylee when she was looking for you. I was just talking to you yesterday morning and then, in just a little over 24 hours later, you were taken away from me. Thank you for holding on so I could say goodbye, I will never forget that or what you have done for me in this life and already in the next. You are at peace and knowing that puts my heart and worries to rest. I am going to miss your stubborn butt and crude humor. I am going to miss looking to you for logical advice when I have a problem. I am going to miss you as I see Ry flourish every day and know that you wanted so bad to be here. Mostly I am just going to miss knowing you were a 30 minute drive away. RIP, daddy. I love you so much and I hope I became the young lady you expected and more.

âI have new found respect for Colin Kaepernick and support him 1000% for sitting down during the playing of the US National Anthem and his reasons why. With a little research youâll discover that, the creator of the National Anthem (Francis Scott Key) was in fact a racist man who said this about the black race -âa distinct and inferior race of people, which all experience proves to be the greatest evil that afflicts a community.â Though Iâm not a black, knowing what I know now, and what I have learnt, Iâll never again in my life stand to the playing of the National Anthem.
I also support the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe (and other tribes involved) who are standing up against the corporate interests who want to dig a pipeline through their land (the same land that the white man stole from them originally by the barbaric inhumane unjust hateful heartless ruthless murderous blood-thirsty relentless vile acts of totalitarian genocide amongst fellow brothers and sisters all in the name of God). I too would protect the water resources in that land if I was in their shoes and do so especially for my family and future generations to come.
Joye Braun, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and an organizer said âWeâre not against the police at all.â âWeâre not against the construction crews â we know they are just trying to make a living. But they are working for the wrong company.â Joye also said the issue is just as much about tribal rights as it is protecting the water and sacred sites.â

Cancer seriously sucks
Iâm staying with dad again tonight as he has to have someone here 24/7 since he came home from the hospital two weeks ago. He started hospice care but the nurse only comes twice a week and as needed in case of an emergency so my family has been taking shifts to stay with him, thank goodness there is so many of us! In the last six months, I have seen my dad go from a healthy 55 year to someone who resembles an old man. He is skinny and his voice is weak. My family is amazing in this whole ordeal and I know they are hurting like I am but itâs wonderful to see them pull together when he needs us the most. I wish things could be different but I donât have that power, nobody does at this point.....
Dear Daddy,
Youâre sick, itâs no secret. It has been a long six months between doctors visits and disappointments but you are no letting that ruin your spirit. The last five days have been hard on us especially you, but you are enduring it like the champion you are. You donât complain, you donât expect pity or sympathy, you just continue on. It hurts watching you go through this and knowing thereâs nothing I or anyone else can do. We all know that life doesnât last forever but youâre time is being cut too soon, and you are accepting that. I wish I could be in good spirits like you and I show people that on the outside but on the inside I am trying to make sense of this all. Why you? Iâll never understand it and you wonât see this but thatâs okay because I know you are going to be at peace soon. I love you.Â
