Strengthening Sweet Potato Tacos Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan

This recipe popped up on my other blog so I thought i share it on this one.

This recipes makes 12-14 tacos in total

Ingredients

4 sweet potatoes(grounding, stamina) 1 cup of black beans(over come hurdles, will power) 1 cup of corn(healing, vitality) 2 cloves of garlic(healing, strength, energy) 3 tbsp of olive oil(potency, health) 1 tbsp of paprika(extra magical boost) 2 tsp of black pepper(strength, confidence) 2 tsp of cumin(protection, courage) salt to taste(cleansing) lime juice to taste(healing, health) corn tortillas 1 avocado(power, grounding[optional]) 2 tbsp cilantro finely chopped(peace, motivation[optional])

Directions

Start with preheating your oven to 400 degrees and lining a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Dice up your sweet potatoes and avocados into 1″ cubes,  and mince up your garlic.

Toss your sweet potatoes with the garlic, oil and spices then spread it out evenly on your baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Take the sweet potatoes out of the oven mix stir in the beans and corn and place back in the oven for another 5 minutes.

Remove from oven, squeeze the lime juice on top, mix in your avocado, and assemble your tacos!

The Witches’ Church

I went to church today. Not the church built by the hands of men, but which surrounds us all the time.

I listened to the choir today. Not the sound of human voices, but the song of insect, wind, and bird.

I saw the light today. Not from book or candle, but from sun and sky.

The gods are here with me, their voices the sog of birds, their message as beautiful and large as mountains.

Nature is my church, and I am at one with it. Bare feet upon the cold morning soil, face warmed by sun breaking through the fog.

Pagan. Witch. Priest. I am these and more, for Nature is my church and I am one with it. I have found joy and bliss here in the wild. I hear its voices, singing out in praise to the sun, the moom, the earth.

Tea of Cheer and Joy

Needed

1/2 C dried chamomile flowers

1/4 C Dried peppermint

1/2 C Calendula

1 T whole cloves

2 T grated Lemon peel

Honey to taste

Instructions- To brew use 1 1/2 T of tea with 1 C boiling water. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Strain and sweeten with honey.
