Me playing Meiji Tokyo Renka: Full Moon

Charlie says Mei has the option of going home or staying in the Meiji era, and...Hear me out... (no spoilers below; just a some math)

Meiji Tokyo Renka came out on PSP in 2013. Mei says she's 15 or 16, which means she was born in 1997 or 1998. A quick google search says life expectancy in Japan around that time was about 84 years for women. Google also says life expectancy in the Meiji era, if you lived past childhood, was 60/70's. Let's average 60 and 70 to get 65 and average that with 84 to get a life expectancy of about 75.

The Meiji era took place between 1868 and 1912. I don't think there's a historical answer for when this game takes place. In real life, Shunsou's cat painting is dated 1910, but Yakumo died in 1904. Google says the game takes place in the 1890's, which is during the Meiji era (so, good enough for me).

If Mei is 16 in 1890 and is expected to live until she's 75, she's going to live another 59 years; probably dying around 1949. Which means she would live through both world wars, and when I realized that, I just...

I finished OzMafia, and I just...

Soh gives everyone guns to scare Dorothy into staying inside the tower, and when one guy says, "No thanks," Soh takes over on manual and makes him go berserk. And there are no consequences for him for doing this. I'm so mad. Justice for Hamelin!

Also, a witch that can only use her powers for others and has to live separated from everyone is not a witch. That is a genie with a larger living space.

Ozmafia - Caramia Pokemon

Not sure if I'll do this for any of the other characters, but my favorite so far is Caramia.

Dragonite - I wanted to include a look alike pokemon. Caramia is the don of a mafia. I was expecting him to be intimidating and intense (like how I'd think an encounter with a dragon would be super dangerous), but he's the nicest person there (and look at how cute Dragonite is).

Pyroar - I had to give him the lion pokemon.

Greedent - I wanted to do something with books, but then I remembered this guy from Pokopia and that Caramia also likes to cook. So, there you go; someone to help him in the kitchen.

Liking Popular Stuff Sucks

Not because, "It's popular, so it's bad."

Target released a bunch of Pokemon stuff for the 30th anniversary yesterday (in stores) and today (online), and they're already sold out of most of it. But you know where you can still find it? Places like ebay for 2-3 times what Target was selling it for.

I just finished binging the Meiji Tokyo Renka anime, and was surprised to see a running bit was MC learning about inflation.

I'm looking forward to playing the game after I finish the one I'm currently playing (Sweet Fuse: At Your Side), and am curious about the upcoming switch port of the fandisc.

It’s the fact that Roc doesn’t hate his other two children either but definitely knows that Aqua’s mom is attempting to get Aqua on the throne and I like to think that he doesn’t do anything because he knows if he does then Aqua will be affected too in terms of reputation and possibly title. I’d like to think he actually does care for all his children equally (that’s a lie because he loved Guy’s mom more so he definitely have favorites /j) but cannot act like it or the assassination attempts will increase. Gilbert is just abusive so I’m giving redeeming qualities to Roc I don’t care how non-canon they are
