Storms and Iron: After the end of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, House Yronwood finds themselves short of influence and allies. Alys, being the third born child and second born daughter, hoped her stubborn reputation and pointed tongue would make her useless as a bargaining chip. Alas, it is exactly those qualities that draw the attention of Ser Lyonel Baratheon, the Laughing Storm, Heir to the Stormlands, and the epitome of everything Alys despises. Any resistance she has does little to dissuade his pursuit. After all, iron has a way of drawing in the lighting from the storm.

A Green Stag: It's been two years since Lyonel and Alys were married. By every measurement, theirs is a happy union, filled with laughter and devotion the likes of wish Lyonel did not think possible. All the same, when the crown prince comes to Storm's End, old feelings arise. Lyonel is not an insecure man, but questions begin to plague his mind. Is he a good husband? Is his wife truly happy? Why did she chose him?

You Are Mine and I Am Yours: Three years into their marriage and Alys has yet to even fall pregnant. At least, so Lyonel thought, until he found her lying in their bed chamber covered in blood. Losing a babe is hard enough, but the doubt cast on their marriage by his own parents may prove a step too far.

This phrase has already entered my vocabulary re: media criticism where like. The viewer has a concrete view of what they expect a story to be based on the tropes and cliches they're used to seeing together, and when that doesn't happen, they judge it as a failed depiction of what they assumed it was going to be instead of judging it as what it actually is.

"This show is problematic because the hero didn't kill the villain at the end": When does he steal the bread?

"These two characters who were close friends throughout the series don't kiss at the end! What the fuck?": When does he steal the bread?

"This feels like it's missing a conclusion! Like, the protagonist does bad stuff and because of a critical decision he makes as a result of his major character flaws, meets tragedy in the end! Where's the part where he learns better and brings is love back from the dead and becomes a good guy and gets a happy ending?": When does he steal the fucking bread??

im afraid most of this dialogue is likely incomprehensible if you aren't locked in as a fan of ASOIAF and I apologise for that but general context if you'd like it:

Daemon Blackfyre (named for having a sword named Blackfyre) attempts to stage a rebellion to take the throne from the king at the time, Daeron Targaryen, and his heir and first son, Baelor. This comic depicts Maekar, Daeron's fourth son and Baelor's youngest brother, suspiciously watching Daemon talk to Ser Quentyn Ball, a man he will eventually recruit for his rebellion. In Page 2, Baelor talks about Targaryens coming close to extinction due to family conflict in the past - he's talking about the events of House of the Dragon there, with Rhaenyra and Aegon's war.
