Secret Dinner || Nikolas and Narcissa
Narcissa opened her mouth to respond, but quickly closed it when Nik continued. No, she didnāt want to talk about it. And yet there was a part of her that wanted to tell him everything. Not because she believed he would understand or help the problems go away, but because it was so hard to keep all of her emotions bottled up inside. If she could just tell someone, anyone, what had happened, maybe she would feel better. But it was obvious now wouldnāt be her chance to do so. Nikolas seemed to be distracted by his own thoughts at that point. He went from being completely enamored to indifferent in a matter of seconds. It was quiteĀ odd. āIām sorry if the truth made you uncomfortable. I didnāt mean to spoil your dinner.ā Her voice sounded oddly sincere. She hadnāt meant to upset Nik, but he didĀ ask her what was wrong.
"You didn't spoil dinner at all. I'm sorry, I just dazed off." Crap. He was letting his thoughts get to him. He needed to turn this night around. Regardless of all the drama that had been happening lately, he hadn't really done much lately. It felt nice to just relax with someone. "Just know you can talk to me whenever you feel ready. I'm always here to listen." He smiled softly and then stood up. "Well, we better start on our walk before it gets too late. Plus i'm sure you need to get back to your dorm soon." He walked across the room and picked up her jacket and then handed it to her. He put on his jacket and grabbed a grey beanie from his drawer. "Alright. Are you ready for this?" He laughed. "I feel like we are part of some secret dinner, and now we have to make it to the lake undercover." He chuckled again softly before realizing how dorky he was beginning to sound. "Sorry, I have a crazy imagination." He smiled and opened the door for Narcissa to exit. "Hopefully the weather isn't too bad."
