@imthelcstprincess gets a thing she didn’t ask for
↠ His eyes widened ever so slightly, watching his niffler tearing through the cobblestone streets, looking every which way for shiny trinkets. Of course the little bugger was up to no good. When was he not? The black ball of fluff and mischief stopped sharply, turned, and skidded down a side street-- and that’s when Newt heard an exclamation of surprise.
❝ ... That could be problematic, ❞ he said to no one but himself. No time to waste, though! The magical community was hardly aware of what a niffler was, much less Muggles - he hurried after it, coat flying behind him, suitcase grasped tightly in his hand.
And there it was, perched on a woman’s shoulder, reaching out for the necklace around her neck. ❝ Absolutely not. Come here. ❞ He dropped the suitcase and pulled his wand from his pocket, pointing it at the niffler. ❝ Accio. ❞
The small mole-like creature immediately zoomed from the girl’s shoulder and into Newt’s outstretched hand. ❝ We’ve talked about this, you pilfering pest, ❞ he scolded but with no real anger, before returning his gaze to the stranger but not quite making eye contact. No, he wasn’t so great with eye contact. Or... humans in general, really.
❝ I’m sorry about him. Absolutely no manners. ❞
