"I wouldn’t have judged you even if you hadn’t have said that last part." he said with a chuckle, closing the door behind her.

"So…" he said, sitting on the edge of the bed "Do I get a private show?"

"Not worried about being judged," she said, then hummed a little, a smile pulling at her lips. "I've not got much to perform with-- I usually need props for a show. But I'll see what I can do," she laughed, pulling off her top and undoing the braid in her hair with the same motion.

He led them out of the seedy bar, and up the street for a while until they crossed over into a nicer part of town. Once they were there, he led her into a posh, well-appointed inn where he nodded at the man at the desk before going upstairs. "This is my home away from home." he said with a chuckle "Or rather it is for the night."

"Oh, what a nice place. Much nicer than most of the places I usually end up in," she said, grinning as she followed him. She bit at the corner of her lip before laughing. "When it comes to this sort of thing and also in general."

He grinned “Who needs to drink?” and he stood up to leave. “I’ve got a room in a much nicer inn, and there’s mead there. So, we’re covered in either case.”

"Sounds good," she said, getting to her feet and gesturing toward the door, pausing only to take one last sip of brandy. "You just lead the way, then."

"Private? And here I thought we were just sitting around basking in the sexual tension." he said with a smirk, drinking the rest of his brandy in one go "I’m always up for more drink, but if you’ve got other ideas, I have an open mind."

She laughed, shifting her weight a bit as she leaned forward, a hand on his knee. "I might have a few ideas. I mean, you can have another drink if you want but I'm the sort to want to cut to the chase-- especially considering I have another show to do later."

"Did you just fall off a roof?"

"No!

Okay, yes. It’s not my fault, though. I fell asleep. Please help me up, I think I stunned myself.”

"Well, if you ever want to cook for me, I’ll be more than happy to give vegetables another shot!" Erii grins at the idea. While she has a preference for meat, one being indulged as she happily buys the meat pie from the vendor, truly, her favorite meal is really anything someone else has cooked.

"It’s good you found this ‘Gramps’ of your’s then," Erii said, frowning a bit as Isaya talks about her parents, "blood’s important, but…family ain’t always who’s related to ya. It’s who’s gonna be there when you need them."

Isaya laughs at that before nodding. "Sure. I'm no expert chef or nothing, but I know some really good recipes and I can certainly follow cooking instructions, if nothing else. I mean, even though I don't read so good. I can memorize. Which I've done, like this recipe for a pumpkin-based soup that I know by heart," she declared proudly.

"Mm... I'm not sure blood's important at all. Anyone can have a baby. Not everyone can care for another person. But that's just... just what I think. Could be wrong."

"If you find something floating in your drink, we’ll put up a stink and drink for free for a while, eh?" and he brought back another glass for both of them. "Nice thing about this place is they can use all the business they can get - can’t afford to scare away paying customers, can they?"

He sat back down and took another long drink of his brandy.

She laughed, nodding and sipping at her brandy, this time taking larger, longer sips. "Precisely. Which is mostly why I'm not too worried," she said with a grin, setting her glass aside after she'd finished about half of it.

"Now, hm, unless you'd like to drink more, would you care to take this somewhere a bit more private?"

"Windhelm—s’cold city, yeah? Lots’f snow an’ th’ people there actin’ like y’ pissed on their boots ‘cuz y’ ain’t a Nord?" He asked, snorting quietly. "Yeah, s’ a shit-hole alright."

"Right, that's the one," she said with a nod, sighing a little at that unfortunately-accurate description of the place she grew up in. "I'm sure it's very surprising that I tend to avoid that place whenever possible, yeah?"

Wide-eyed surprise and a sense child-like wonder come over Ma’Jaara, and she takes a few heartbeats to look the Dunmer over yet again. “Lorkhaj, where did it go? I-it’s safe, right?” She inquires, tilting her head. This was quite the magic, though.

Isaya smiles, nodding and making a little 'hmm' sound. "I'm sure he's just fine. Ah, wait a moment," she said, reaching behind the Khajiiti woman's ear and 'finding' the bird there. "Here he is. Look at that!"

"Right. Be right back." he stood up from the table and collected the empty glasses "They’ve only got so many clean ones." and he went across the room to the counter.

She made a face, but she'd had drinks in worse places. "If I find something floating in my drink, I'll be cross."

"I can understand that notion." and he shrugs as well "I don’t have that problem myself, but if I did I imagine I’d have around the same reaction."

"'S not a huge problem-- most people are polite enough. And speaking of polite, would you... get me another brandy?"

"Well I didn’t think you’d fight with that sword. But yes, I see your point.” and he smiled “And I think that the dagger has an element of surprise. Carry a sword around you never use, and then stab them while they wait for you to draw it.”

"Exactly. Or just shiv 'em. Even more surprising. Not as effective but I'm not out for blood. I usually just want the creeps to leave me alone." She laughed, then shrugged.

"That sounds like a healthy preparation." he said with a laugh "Are you any good with a sword, or have you just learned to swallow them?"

"I'm decent with a sword, but the one I carry is too blunt for fighting." She shrugged, then added, "The knife's better, though. More subtle."
