【☣☢☠】He says nothing. As if he wasn’t frazzled before, he was now. The first time it occurred, Hank thought it was a misundersta- nding or simply a prank. This time was different. It felt real and he had a feeling that Erik actually meant it. When he was released for a breath of air, all was silent. He couldn’t reply, he couldn’t retort, hell he was speechless.

Erik had an undeniable wave of fear crash over him when no words were said, swallowing hard he backed away from the younger man, “ I’m, I’m sorry, I should go. ” Erik’s eyes slipped shut his embarrassment crawling up his cheeks.

You’re being ridiculous Erik.” Attention draws back into his research, but the memory of such a description being tossed so casually at him doesn’t leave so easily. It would most likely bother him for the rest of the day.

“ No, you’re being ridiculous Henry. ” He closes his eyes for a moment before cupping his face in his hands, quickly leaning in to kiss him again, fear racing through him, pulling back far sooner than he’d have liked, “ You are beautiful. ”

“ It was real for me. ” He mumbled back, “ No, I don’t want you to regret not asking her, if that’s what you want, to be with her, then do it, take the bull by the horns. And if you don’t then, then find someone else, but never, never think that your mutation makes you any less than perfect. I know you don’t want to hear it, but you are a beautiful young man, Hank, and you mutation only adds to that. ”

【☣☢☠】He hissed a bit at the stinging in his hand from the cleaning but ultimately eased up once the injury was bandaged. “It’s fine…” Once his hand was his again, he knew he had been had. This conversation was ending up with flattery, and it didn’t feel too great. Flattery was nice, but it was strange coming from someone Hank rarely spoke to, if at all. “Hah… I find that a little hard to believe.” The scientist slips from his chair and moves back to clean the rest of the broken glass.

“ It took me a year to gain the courage to hold the girl I liked’s hand, a year, I saw her every day, we could talk for hours and still I’d be a blushing mess if she’d stand too close, or smile at me for too long. I was the shortest boy in my year during all of my schooling. ” Erik confesses quietly as he looked around for a bin to put the broken glass in.

【☣☢☠】It was no use. He’d just end up being forced to accept outside help anyway. He reluctantly took a seat and held he palm out towards the other. Sure it wasn’t a very pretty injury, but it wasn’t so extreme that he needed someone else to see to it. "I’m also ignorant… especially around her. I should have just married myself off to science.“

Erik delicately took his hand on dosed a cotton swab with antiseptic, gently cleaning the cut while checking for any glass, once satisfied it was wasn’t going to get infected, he placed a gauze over the wound and then neatly bandaged it up, his movements controlled and precise, keeping the bandage taut, “ Is that too tight? Hank listen to me, anyone would be lucky to have you, everyone gets flustered, I was the same...” He stops himself before it’s too late to backtrack.

【☣☢☠】"Stop! Let me go!“ Hank tears his arm away from Erik’s hold, seeing to his own injuries instead. "I find that rich coming from you. Raven doesn’t deserve someone who’s concerned with getting rid of her mutation. She needs someone who respects it. Now if you would excuse me, I’m trying to find an easier way to be a coward.” Feet hurriedly shuffle to a nearby sink where he washes off his palm and moves to look for a bandage.

“ Raven deserves a someone who will see her. Not her mutation, her, for the bright young woman she is, just like you do, Hank. ” He followed him to the sink, “ You’re more than your mutation, you’re so much more, you’re intelligent and kind. Here- ” He took a first aid kit from under the sink, opening it up and taking out a few things he’d need, “ Sit, let me. ” He had worked in a hospital after all, well, a psychiatric one, but it was still something.

Max ran as fast as his little legs could carry him, quickly ducking into Charles’ office, and crawled behind him, raising his finger to his lips, “ Shh. ” He could hear Logan already approaching and sighed when he walked past. Once he was out of ear shot, Max grinned up at Charles, “ Hallo! What are you doing, Charles? ” He stands and moves onto his tip toes to look at Charles’ desk.
