After the eighth goin, Thorton just assumed in silence that Barry would shut up eventually. However, after a few more seconds he reaches over, pressing a button, and successfully closing the automatic doors to the battle factory in between him and the other boy.

If there’s one person in the world Thorton admires as much as his mom, it’s the box devs in every region. Particularly Cecil and Bill. 

Thorton dreams of one day creating a operational and fully functional machine that can turn humans into pokemon to help gain insight to the daily lives of pokemon. As well as a transporter that would teleport anyone to any region.

Thorton’s mother used to run the Battle Factory before him. She was one of the smartest of the brains during her time, and could easily think of a strategy despite the infinite number of combinations of pokemon. 

Growing up, Thorton had her same thirst for knowledge, and was a prodigy. Just like his mom in almost every way, minus the social anxiety he seems to harbor. He does always second guess himself too, trying to be as smart and as talented as his mother was, before she became sick. 

His metagross is also his mom’s, a present she gave him when he took the battle factory as his own.

     The blond yelled suddenly, waving his hands in the air as to try and get the other’s attention.. There was a particularly intense stream of water heading directly for the factory head..     So maybe his Buizels aim was a bit off–! It didn’t help that the person the water pulse was heading towards was none other than Thorton.. Man, he’d be hearing about this later..

There was finally, peace and quiet, and Thorton could now get to test out the new invention he had made. With Palmer gone off, and the others respectfully busy- no new challengers at the factory; the Head of it was seen outside with the contraption on the ground. He was still getting specifics set up, when unfortunately he heard the sound of nails grating against a chalk board.

More specifically, that sound was none other than Barry. Thorton looked up and over at him, about to reply sarcastically when he saw the jet of water, unfortunately hit him dead in the face. He was wet, his hair was now wet, and what was worse, so was the electronic, very sensitive controller in his hands.

“You idiot! Ingrate! Do you understand how important this was?! Of course you don’t!” God, he was so angry right now, the poor controller whined as it started to smoke, the one day he wanted to try something- to spend a hour or so outside, and this is what luck had brought him??? An idiot???

“What ever it is you wanted, I don’t want any part of it! I have to fix the hardware of this very delicate machine because of you! And this one!” He pointed at the buizel in question “What have you to say for yourself??”

Thorton has a lot of social anxiety and he most of the time- keeps to himself in the factory where he doesn’t have to deal with people. Of course, trainers do come to challenge the Battle Frontier, but he keeps them at a distance, using his intelligence as a defense of sorts.

He’s awkward around people and doesn’t know what to do with them, and often times he loses his patience and creates problems for himself.

“How did you set that off?!” But right as Thorton was losing what patience he had left, a sudden drop in ALL of the power in the factory caught his attention. He was about to question if Norman really WAS that dense, until a “BZZT!!!” resounded from the control room, and Thorton’s Rotom, Circuit, appeared with a grin and a mischievous gleam. 

“UGH. THAT ROTOM IS KILLING ME.”
