Kancil the Metagross, then a beldum, is the firstĀ pokĆ©mon Caitlin caught, and kept, after his abrupt resignation from the Battle Frontier.Ā
They were caught after a very easy battle. And by easy, I mean Kancil panicked when their eyes met Caitlinās, panicked-floated in circles, and panicked-surrendered into the pokĆ©ball Caitlin never had the chance to throw. ā¦then they panicked-refused when Little Prince the Gallade later asked them if they want to leave.
It took months, but they eventually relaxed and interacted with the rest of the team. Still a scary group but manageable.Ā
It helped no one pushed Kancil out of their comfort zone. And based on how they repeatedly try to annoy the ever-serious absol, Kancil knows full well how pushy this group can be.
Their love for participating in pokĆ©mon battles also took some time to develop, with a lot of building self-confidence on the side, but it paid off in the end: theyāre a permanent member in Caitlinās official Elite Four team.
The greatest part of battling is, for a limited time, you hold nothing back and use everything you have to get your desired outcome. Itās something they share with Caitlin.
Gentle in temperament and skittish in nerves, they donāt do well around strangers and uncertain situations, and they avoid these as best as they can. They also try not to break anything, or anyone, when they run away.
They are always with someone in Caitlinās team. Itās sort of endearing to see this larger-than-average metagross trail behind others like a lost child.
They have a habit of hiding in Caitlinās hair. It worked really well when they were a beldum but not so much as a metagross. Not that theyāre going to let that stop them. ā¦even if theyāre taller than their human.
Theyāre mostly the reason why Caitlinās hair is so long: more hair to hide in.
Everyone in the team knows when itās nap-time, Kancilās spot is always under Caitlinās hair. Itās reserved for them.
