"Printers sound like magic, not technology."
"Worst part about being a government weapon was all the poking and prodding that they did. It's not fun having things shoved straight into your skin, [REDACTED] the bleeding, countless times a day for experiments and research, let me tell you. Glad as [REDACTED] I got away from all that."
"Ein...Ohr...Sof..."
"I will forever keep three enrollment forms on my desk. For them."
"Some people might think it's funny that I can't say what I want. That if I say a swear or some other 'bad' word, all that comes out is [REDACTED]. Well, it's not [REDACTED] funny. Makes me worry what other limits might be deep inside of me that I haven't uncovered yet. Makes me feel like I'm not really my own [REDACTED] person."
"I abuse my shapeshifting powers to get free stuff at stores and restaurants. People love kids!"
"...I need to watch my appetite." she just got embarrassed after wolfing down tons of meat in a tavern, unaware everyone was just. Watching as the tiny goblin ate her body mass in meat.
"Oh hey, Mezuki right? I'm Sango, I help with the Yama's paperwork. I heard today was a day to give sweet gifts, so I got you something..." Sango would give half of a chocolate heart, topped with strawberry frosting. "I gave the other half to Gozuki. If you see her, you can combine the two halves to make a full piece. I hope you like it, I did it myself..." It wasn't perfect, but maybe she would like something hand-crafted.
"Oooohhhh...indeed, indeed, that's me, miss. I can't believe we haven't met before. We both work for the Yama...ahhhh. Such a shame, such a shame. You seem nice!" the oni giggled, taking the chocolate heart, a pleased look upon her face. "Mmmh, weeeell. Knowing Gozuki I can see her having eaten hers already. That said, thank you so much. You really need to visit some time!"
And with another giggle, she leaned forward, placing the tiniest peck on Sango's cheek. "Don't mind that. I heard kisses are given out on this day, so..."
"Robots are cool now!" always have been, Astra.
"Fun fact, Marisa uses the books she borrows as paperweights."
"It's time for dragons to hibernate for the winter."
"...Do you have something against winter?" She's not going to bluntly call the other lazy for now.
"It's just very cold and unpleasant. So I'd rather not deal with it! Simple as that!"
"It's time for dragons to hibernate for the winter."

alien girl, first scout of her people, exploring the far reaches of space
Comes across Earth
Decides to stay there and not mention it to her people because they're sorta warmongering and would wanna conquer the shit outta the planet. And she grows to love Earth leading up to that decision. Maybe something's wrong with her ship or communicator or what-not!
"Mmmm... Sometimes, I get vampires come in to get food... but just for the taste."
Nyalter is not sure how normal it is.
"Oh, there's nothing wrong with the atmosphere, it's just that it's a shop, you know? There's people coming in and out, sometimes it's randomly quiet and sometimes there's a lot of people."
"Wha- Really? B-But I thought...but then again...mmmh, I guess..." she was mumbling to herself, a thoughtful look on her face. Clearly, the idea perplexed her.
Again she quickly shook her head, though. "Oh, well. Best not to focus on all that. Regardless...that doesn't sound bad. Peace and quiet, with someone coming in every now and then...it sounds quite enjoyable. And I've been needing to socialize more."
"Oh, there's no worry there, either! I don't really get sustenance from regular food...but I can still consume it for the taste. Another...ahhhh, let's say 'perk' of my unique circumstances. And no worries, I would definitely buy something. I know it's the worst when someone just comes in, loiters, and then leaves. I've lived long enough to have picked up on quite a lot!"
"Huh... That must be a thing for vampires, I guess..."
Priscilla calls it a unique perk of her circumstances, but Nyalter can't help but feel that she's heard it before somewhere...
"Either way, I don't mind if you hang about after buying and eating something. Though... if I'm honest, I'm not quite sure about the atmosphere in the bakery..."
It smells nice!
"A thing for vampires? As far as I know, every other one should have to have blood only..." Priscilla mused, tilting her head as she thought...for a few moments, anyway. Then she shook her head, giggling and smiling again.
"Ah, whatever. The atmosphere? I'm not sure what you mean by that. I'm sure the atmosphere is perfectly fine! Why wouldn't it be?"
"Exactly. Perhaps I'll tell you the story behind why I am like that, perhaps not, ehe. Just depends on where the conversation goes. And if you'd be willing! I don't want to impose at all, miss Nyalter, but I have been looking for a spot I could go to every now and then and just relax and enjoy myself. A lovely bakery ran by a lovely woman like yourself would be a perfect spot! So I'd be interested in what your goods taste like."
"Well... I am a little curious... though if you wanted to know about my bakery..."
Flattery will... do things, actually. Nyalter is pretty susceptible to flattery, but at the same time, she's also used to a lot of flirting, so she just takes it in stride.
"If you want to come and relax though... Well, I can live with that, as long as you buy something. I don't have too much for vampires though... Aside from normal food I only make blood bread for special order."
"Ahaha...well, let's just say that I'm a very, VERY special case and that no other vampire is similar to me in that aspect. At least not as far as I know, anyway. And agreed. Really, the only benefit would be amusing kids, I guess. Or throwing a mean disco party. Regardless! That bakery of yours. Does it happen to be open now?"
"Yeah, I would imagine so. It'd be a bit odd if vampires were known to have a weakness to sunlight even though a lot of them didn't have a weakness to sunlight..."
"Hmmmm? Well, at this time, I'm mostly just finishing up for the day and preparing to close down. Did you want to get something?"
She's only out here to grab something before she closes for the day.
"Oh, the bakery? I know the one! I haven't been there yet, but I've seen people going in every now and then. It seems relatively popular!" she giggled, before nodding her head.
"And, I suppose. But I don't have to worry about THAT particular hiccup, personally. So for me it's either, no sparkling at all and nothing else happening, or sparkling. So you can see why it's so detestable to me."
"Oh, really? I didn't know that there were vampires immune to being turned into dust and ash..."
Well, that would be a useful trick for most vampires to know... but then again, maybe it's better for them to have some weaknesses.
"But I guess that would explain it- There's no real benefit to sparkling, you just stand out more. And look silly."
