Disneyland Opening Day – July 17th, 1955
Day 100!: Celebrating our three year anniversary at the Happiest Place on Earth on its 60th anniversary! Here's to many more for all of us ❤️
Day 99: I'm not sure I care what else happens today, cause I went to princess breakfast at Ariel's Grotto and it was magical :)
Day 96: It was a good last day of work before vacation, but that's about it! Day 97: I got cast in Halloween Horror Nights again this year! Granted, I have no idea what for, but it's exciting nonetheless! Day 98: After staying up literally all night, the boy and I made it to sunny California and spent the day at Universal Hollywood, which was a lot of fun. And now we've made it to Disneyland to start the rest of vacation fun tomorrow!
Day 94: I honestly don't know of anything happy that occurred besides the fact that California is a mere four days away! Day 95: The boy and I had our annual viewing of Singin' in the Rain, which is what we saw on our first date a whole three years ago :)
Day 93: I had a lovely day of smiling at people and printing things out for them and making them FastPasses and not having them complain to me at all. It was magical. And only one week till Disneyland's 60th!
Day 88: it rained a lot, but I still managed to be productive. It's hard to do that when you know you're going to get poured on. Day 89: Had an interview for something totally different today. Of course, even if I get it, it's just a bench position, but it's something! Day 90: I went shopping and didn't find anything I needed, but that also means I didn't spend (nearly) any money! (I needed lunch, and Chipotle was right there...) Day 91: Finally got to see the Hoop de Doo Revue! Not only that, but it was for free and with a bunch of our Port Orleans concierge. And it was a good time, too! (Also, one week till vacation!) Day 92: Spent one last afternoon at the Magic of Disney Animation, specifically with one last drawing class. Getting to finally draw Baymax was the highlight of the day.
Day 86: May not have seen the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the park as intended, but I still got to see them from my parking lot - and there was some pretty wicked lightning to see, too. Day 87: Happy Independence Day! Hollywood Studios was not nearly as busy as it could have been, thanks to the rain, and we got a perfect spot for fireworks. I also had my favorite cupcake to ever grace Studios with its existence. 🇺🇸
Day 85: Roommate bonding! Included was plenty of shopping and the most wonderfully delicious French macarons :)
Day 84: Many things to be happy about today! I signed up for Candlelight auditions, which means this year is going way too quickly; I finally got the rest of the Little Mermaid tsum tsums I needed (it's only been like two months); and today is exactly two weeks from vacation and Disneyland and I cannot wait!
Day 81: I got hugged twice by the same guest today for helping them out several times. Normally hugs from strangers are weird, but when it's Disney, it doesn't seem to matter. Day 82: I got a copy of a letter that a guest sent to our general manager about me and how much they appreciated my help while they stayed at our resort. That was lovely. And I successfully drove a 15-passenger van! Granted, I was the only person in it, but still. Day 83: Today I didn't really do what I had originally planned, which was go to an audition I'd been looking forward to. Instead, I sent myself out for retail therapy, and the good news is that I didn't pay full price for anything I purchased today. That gives you strangely wonderful feeling.
Day 78: The Magic Kingdom was wonderful for the two hours I spent there (before a typical Florida storm rolled in and threatened to electrocute and/or drown us all). Day 79: I love when my days at work feel like they didn't even happen because they went so quickly. Today was definitely one of those days. Day 80: I do it fairly often, but talking to my parents is always nice. I do miss them, being so far away, just maybe not as much as they claim to miss me. But it's nice to hear what's going in on their lives once in a while.
Day 76: I can never reiterate enough how much I enjoy panning out people's days, especially when they are all too willing to take my advice. Day 77: I saw Jaws in its entirety for the first time in my 24 years of life. And in theaters, too! (Also, exactly three weeks until Disneyland!)
Day 75: I suppose I can at least be happy that I was fortunate enough to have mostly pleasant guests today, so that's something.
Day 74: Not only did I get to go on a backstage tour of the Haunted Mansion, but I actually went over to the pool today because I had all this free time before work! The benefits of waking up early are plentiful, but it's such a difficult habit for me to maintain.
