Hiya, I'm Mags and welcome to my art blog! I mainly make digital art and crochet plushies. My main interests are Kirby, Deltarune, birds, and bugs!
I've been working on a Kirby fancomic called Kirby Right Back at Ya: Encore! for a while. It updates every Saturday here and on ComicFury.
I’m open for crochet plushie commissions! You can find more info in the linked post. I have some crocheted plushies for sale up on Ko-fi as well. There are a couple free crochet plushie patterns there too and I hope to make more available in the future! My digital art commissions are on hiatus.
You can find my main blog here. I usually reblog my art there too but sometimes I forget!
I plan to make all of the flowers eventually! I've been commissioned to make Flowery so that's who'll show up next! After that I'll probably go with either Blue or Yellow!
Sorry, I believe I asked in the wrong place...I was wondering if you ever released the tenna crochet pattern?
It's no problem! That blog was fine too but since this is art-related I'll respond here. I still haven't released it, I'm sorry! Patterns are one of those things I've really been procrastinating on, though the chibi Tenna tutorial specifically has been almost done for a while. It'll still be free when I do finally complete it though!
Hi, everyone! I just want to let you know I've raised my base commission prices and introduced an additional fee for commissions that require me to create a new plush pattern or significantly modify an old one. Unfortunately, I've come to the realization that I was falling short of minimum wage where I live based on my previous pricing.
I wish I was more attentive in assessing the time I spend on my work earlier, but at the same time it's easy for me to fall prey to my own insecurities and reason that I'd be asking for too much if I set higher prices.
Here is an updated commission sheet with an overview of the new pricing. I have also updated the commission Google form to explain my new pricing categories, but I'll go over the same information in this post.
For better reference, I've also made a spreadsheet with my new price quotes for most of the plushies I've made in the past year or so. If you are interested in commissioning a remake, you can check here!
The additional design fee will range from $5 to $50 based on the complexity of the plush and whether I can reuse parts of pre-existing patterns, but the average cost will likely be around $30 for unique anthro / humanoid designs.
For unique commission requests, expect me to quote you a base price for the plush itself (me setting a price based on how difficult I think it would be to crochet and assemble) plus a design fee for the estimated labor that would go into the design process, like drawing concept sketches and the potential trial and error of building the new pattern.
For remakes with modifications, pricing will depend on how significant the changes are. In cases of small detail changes, like a different facial expression or a simple color palette swap, I will likely not request an additional fee. However, I will do so if I need to draft new concept sketches or significantly alter my existing pattern. There may also be cases where the edits make the plush easier to create than the original, in which I will lower the base cost of the plush compared to what I'd ask for a strict remake (but keep in mind there may still be a design fee based on the criteria mentioned earlier).
I should have set a design fee of sorts from the beginning, but I was initially worried this would discourage people from commissioning unique customs. Problem solving and experimentation are my favorite aspects of this craft, and new designs generally give me more opportunities to pursue those. Objectively speaking though, it is more time and labor intensive to create them compared to a remake.
Anyways, I'm sorry to deliver this news but I hope you understand. I am very grateful to everyone who has commissioned me in the past and those who are interested in doing so someday! I look forward to making more plushies for you in the future! ♥️
