Who We Are, Where We’re Going (3 /4)

Summary: Geoff has a dream. One day he’s going to rule Achievement City - rise to the top and become king of his own crew. Granted, right now he’s alone and struggling to pay the rent, but he’ll get there.

When Gavin comes along, he adopts him. When Ryan comes along, he falls in love. Suddenly everything seems within reach.

And then along comes Jeremy, with a dream of his own, threatening to destroy everything Geoff’s built.

“Gavin?” Ryan calls out, tentatively, as he steps into the alleyway. “Gav, it’s me, I’m here.”

The place looks like a scene from a horror movie - a thin lane between two old buildings, so narrow that Ryan wouldn’t be able to stretch both arms out all the way if he’d wanted to. Old dumpsters, piled up garbage bags stinking of refuse. Broken needles littering the floor. A dead end alley, so dark because the buildings are tall that it almost feels like night. A dead body wouldn’t be out of place here. He’s half expecting a zombie to jump out at him any minute now.

He hopes this is the right place. It’s the address Gavin sent him, after all, in a series of frantic texts that made Ryan drop everything he was doing and come rushing over.

LSPD totally has a 'most dangerous man (or woman) in Los Santos' that they release every year and the crew totally has a party for the day it happens. It's usually Ryan or Michael but it was Ray the year he left the Fakes. They were especially surprised the year it was Gavin.

Imagine that one year it’s someone who’s not part of the crew. 

In fact, it’s someone that none of them have even heard of before, even with their connections on the streets. He’s somehow managed to infiltrate several government facilities, causing mass panic and things that were quickly covered up.

His name is by far the least intimidating part of the description.

Until out of the blue Gavin develops a sudden fascination with Jeremy’s pet cat, and suddenly it seems like all his dreams are coming true.

“Fucking, its not enough isn’t it? for Ramsey to have the goddamn Vagabond, and Mogar, fucking Brownman and them, but then he gives his fucking kingdom to the goddamn RWBY bitch. i mean, she’s got her fucking sisters, and them alone could set the entirety of Texas on fucking fire, but now she’s got the whole crew at her back. I mean, we’re fucked, we’re all just fucked, now all we can do is wait for Ramsey’s mailorder twink, Gavino or whatever, to get the entire RT from Burns and then we’ll all just be dragged straight down to hell.

Worst part, is when Rose left for the fakes, they split up, went their separate ways and we could actually get some crime done, but now they’re back with her. Now Long and Schnee and Belladona are back. god we’re so boned.

Strange Magic

Summary: In the darkest alleyway in the city lived The Witch Boy. Michael had been told about him since he was young. A fairy tale parents told their kids to make sure they didn’t talk to random strangers. Michael hadn’t though of the story in years before he ended up in that alley, needing The Witch Boy’s help.

Michael ran, his lungs burning and his legs aching. He needed to get away. He ducked through side streets and alleyways, trying to lose his pursuers but they were too fast. But he knew the city better than them, ducking in and out and getting a street or two head of them.

He rounded a corner and stopped dead in his tracks when he realised where he had ended up. Witches Alley. When he was younger, kids in his class were dared to go to the end and knock on The Witch Boy’s door, painted red with the blood of the children he had killed. There were stories that there were kids that went down and never returned. Whenever a kid in the city went missing it was the first thought on all of their minds.

okay and but so egocentrifuge, who is the headcanons-and-fic-ideas-at-six-in-the-morning light of my life, brought up Plan G and how it would factor into gta au

AND I’M SUPER PUMPED ABOUT IT???

mostly because of course there’s the concept of a Very Drunk gavin and geoff sitting around and gavin launching into hypotheticals and inevitably he says something along the lines of, “alright, but what if– what if we need to make a getaway.”

and geoff is like uh, we literally walk out the door like we always do.

but gavin’s got this terrifying I-Have-an-Idea look in his eye, and he says, “no, a real getaway. no evidence.” he makes a little explodey gesture with his fingers. “kill switch.”

and because geoff is Very Drunk, he’s entertaining the idea. “kill switch?”

gavin grins dangerously. “Plan B. Plan G.”

and so they design it, and they do it, the most apocalyptic, literal cleansing by fire ever to exist within two feet of their beds, and they don’t tell jack because jack would rightly kill them both, and it is awesome.

and so i’m very pumped about that, but i’m also adoring the concept of michael–wonderful, observant, shoot-first-ask-questions-never michael–finding The Button one day because of course he does, and he calls out, “the fuck’s this button for?”

and geoff freezes and very calmly says, “did you press it?”

“yeah,” michael says, like duh, like obviously. “what’s it do?”

“uh,” geoff says, and then the air catches on fire.

(he and gavin try to get by with golly gee i had no idea that would happen, but jack just says they’re gonna fucking wish they died back there, and michael laughs about it for ten years)

so i cant choose between FAHC and the King Aju, so i said fuck it why not both, and i really wanted to draw gavin in his regular hunting clothes, and i am, but i also had a flash of inspiration walking down the stairs, Gavin learning how to control his fire-wielding abilities. it actually looks really cool. also, i have a deep and unabiding love for Gavin being geoff’s heir apparent and adopted son in all the King AU fics, like, it is my everything. i have a meetin at work today (it’s rlly early morning now) but once i get back and have a nap if i need it, i’ll clean this up l8r
