     Okay so there’re a lot of high winds and crap over here in Oregon, so it’s very possible that a power line’s going to go down and make accessing Tumblr a hell of a lot more difficult for me (although not impossible thanks to my laptop / phone’s wi-fi hotspot combo). So if I either don’t show up online for a while and/or if I die in some freak accident, now you all know why.

     I stg all my muses I’ve had or want to play are deeply fucked up in one way or another...

     Marisa is reckless, drinks too much sake for her own good, causes trouble for people on a daily basis, has no problem with stealing shit or shooting people with danmaku, and she doesn’t really give a fuck about any of it. At least she tries her best to not ruin anyone’s lives or get them killed, and she still tries to be a main protagonist even if she’s a bit of a nominal hero.

     Gut’s entire life has been a relentless series of horrifying and appealing events, and it’s sure as hell had a bad effect on him. He’s killed god knows how many people, takes sadistic pleasure in tortuously killing apostles, gets violent when people touch him because he was assaulted as a child, told a girl to kill herself if she couldn’t handle the death of her parents, tends to substitute all of his emotions with anger... and that’s just the tip of the fucking iceberg with him.

     Maria’s probably the most stable and moral out of all of them, but my interpretation of her is heavily headcanoned since we don’t know too much about her other than her legacy. I imagine she was deeply appealed by the Old Hunter’s actions in the fishing hamlet, was likely involved in the slaying of K/os, and regrets ever associating with them. I’m sure she’s retained some trauma from spending most of her life fighting horrifying monsters, the constant screams and insane ramblings of the research hall patients is maddening to listen to on a regular basis, and she misses the other hunters she’s befriended over the years.

     There’s some others but this list is long enough and I don’t want to ramble any longer than I already have omfg

     It’s hard to tell how long she’s been resting at the Hakurei Miko’s grave, but with her clothes dripping from rainfall and leaves resting in her lap after gently falling from nearby trees, it’s entirely possible that she hasn’t moved in days. Even with the arrival of of a familiar nekomata, the youaki of darkness was far too lost in nostalgia and regret to turn and face her, remaining completely motionless as she remembered the happiness she used to have.

     But she was aware that choosing to ignore Chen would come across as disrespectful, so despite not being in the mood, Rumia made a halfhearted attempt at banter with her while continuing to stare off into the cloudy sky.

     “ Oh... Hey there, Chen. How’ve you and Yukari been recently? Haven’t talked to either of you in forever. ”

     “ So, you’re the one responsible for this “spiriting away” bullshit, right? You should send me back home now if you don’t want anyone else to die. ”

     How many people did he butcher to get the boundary youkai’s attention? How long was the trail of blood he left behind while attempting to slash and cut his way out of Gensokyo? Knowing that he was taken to a world far removed from his own, did he even care about anything other than his escape?

     Regardless of how severe the atrocities he caused were, they were enough to attract the attention of the one who likely brought him here, and that was all he cared about. His colossal sword coated in crimson blood waited eagerly in his hands, ready to cause all manner of murders or massacres if it meant forcing her to send him back.

     The troubled life Guts leads is hard enough to live as is, he doesn’t need anyone making it more complicated by letting him fall into a foreign world of youkai and magical bullets.
