I cut my black futsu squash today what a handsome fellow not very black tho. I hope I didn’t leave it too long ( gratuitous pic of the pink japanese anemone)

Really happy with these echinacea this year. What a great colour here in late summer when most of the other flowers are over or eaten by the (stinkin) deer

This year’s bulbs. All late flowering tulips just by chance. Oh well there should be many orange emperor still going - if the deer don’t get them.

Planted the Thalia toward the back of the lil plot where the others are and 5 of the ruby giant croci over the fall guys.

First market of the year. I pigged out and got three asparagus ( bought two and went away for 15 minutes there was one left so what the hell !)

Well. How bizarre look what just popped up in the pot with the checker lily! I swear I planted it years ago- got it on sale ofc and nothing happened. It just appeared yesterday and now it’s almost fully out. Crazy. I love plants

nov 30 update: just really truly for reals finished bulb planting. couldn't resist some 50% off bulbs 6 more of those aveyon things in the tomato pot and 6 mt hood white daffs in allison's tall planter

no idea where i planted all this and the squirrels ate many tulips :(. i guess we just have to see what survived. no sign of deer yet tg. so far
