I am the son of Palestine, and to you, I belong. Even if they hang me on the gallows, I will not bow. I was born a revolutionary, I was born a revolutionary. I do not know my identity, so I swore to defend my cause.

What a beautiful life we had, and our life will remain beautiful as long as we are alive. We are the ones who will return, rebuild Gaza, and draw a smile once again.

We have suffered more than a year of the horrors of war. We have been through several wars before, but none of them have been like this. This is not a war; it’s genocide. I can’t even comprehend what we’ve been through and what we’re living now. We have lost everything, and I wish that everything we’ve lost would return. I lost my support, my love, my manager, my dear Sheikh, the symbol of the family and its elder. Who will bring him back when life returns to us? Who will compensate me for him? I have lost many family members, but my Sheikh is different. My heart aches every day.

I am Maha. I have two sons, Asaad and Tamer, and a daughter Mai who is separated from me. I do not have a job. My older brother was the one who cared for me, but he was martyred in the war with his family. I try to travel with my children to live in peace away from the war, but financial conditions do not allow. I try to collect money to help me and my family with it.

The war completely shattered everything, our routine and our souls, destroyed our university, destroyed our unfulfilled dream. My family and I were forced to leave our warm home, leaving our beautiful memories and dreams with sad hearts. We were displaced from many places to many places... to obtain safety. We tasted the bitterness of separation and the bitterness of living in tents and the bitter cold, and hearing the sound of the occupation planes piercing our ears day and night.

These may be my last words during that genocide a year ago because I got tired of transmitting a voice that was suffering from pain a year ago. I don't know when the dark nightmare will stop.
